CHAP. 26: LAUNCHING
Rambling my dresser for the dress Juliet had ordered for me online, I stumbled upon the brown envelope I received a couple of months ago from agent Doe. A sharp pain pierced through my chest once again as I opened it.
"Will I ever find the culprit, Mom, Dad? Will I be able to avenge you from them? Will we ever get the justice we deserve?" I held my tears back as I wrapped the pictures in my arms.
A tinkling sound of falling metal distracted me. I looked down to see the key pendant necklace they'd gotten from the crime scene and examined it. "Why didn't I see mom wore this one before?" I thought. This seemed to be a key, but on what? Failing to find the answer to my question, I placed it back inside the envelope.

I got up early the other day and waited for the CEO to arrive at his office. When Wanda finally left the room, I decided to approach. "Wanda, I just need a word from Mr. Val," I said. "He's not in the mood. He doesn't want anyone in his office at this moment," she said. She was just following her boss's order, but I was eager to confront him at this hour and so I quickly rushed to open the door. Wanda failed to stop me hence she ended up explaining herself to the CEO. "I'm sorry, Mr. Val. I already informed her that you don't want to be disturbed but she–" "It's okay, let her come in." He cut Wanda's explanation while he undisturbedly focused his eyes on the fascinating view from his glass window. She was left with no choice but to give me some way. I eyed her and threw a timid smile as she closed the door. "What brought you to my office, Ms. Nam?" "I want to talk to you about something." "What is it?"

I gasped for breath as my consciousness came back, panting and sweating at the minimal air in the atmosphere. I roamed my eyes around the dim, empty, and windowless room I was trapped in. Metal chains clanged on the floor as I moved to reach for the door. That's when I realized my right foot was locked on the chain embedded in the cream-colored wall.The thuds of the footsteps echoing from the outside alarmed me of the approaching being. I anticipated the unlocking of the knob for seconds, but it didn't happen."Who's there? I know there's someone at the door. Tell me who you are; show me your face!" Walking along the narrow hallway leading to who knew where, I made sure to keep an eye on the two muscular guys on my both sides. The metal chains around my wrists are thick and tight, I had no way of escaping from it. Hence, I had to face them and give my fighting skills the best of luck. It was my only hope of extricating myself from what lies ahead.I inhaled deeply before forcefully elbowing the stomach of the guy on my left and hitting the jaw of the guy on my right, slipping through his pocket to get the key simultaneously.
