CHAPTER THIRTY

The sweat ran down Nicole’s neck as she ran down the steep steps to her father’s office, she gave no concern to the thumping sound of her feet on the tile floors, she ran blinding through the classrooms, pushing and pulling both objects and humans out of her way as she ran through.

She had been such a fool to believe her father would let her go just yet. She saw he had tried his last straw and she would also do the same, even if it means her ending his career.

George had known her father would not back down, she had been the foolish one not to sense it, his quietness despite their win, his bitter smile, he had even lost focus in class.

The door to the Meeting room was locked firmly by the time she got there, she locked her ears firmly to the door but there was no sound coming out. She began beating on the door with her bare hands but the door refused to give way. It was a hopeless cause; she would have to wait till the meeting was over
