4. Occupied

She's in the waiting shed, waiting for the rain to stop. She's wet from head to toe. She touch her face, its wet but not because of the tears. She stopped crying. But deep inside, she's tearing into pieces. 

"Hey miss, are you alright?" the man ask. 

She look at him. A stranger. 

Bumaba ito sa sasakyan at tumakbo kung nasaan sya. 

"I am a bad person or a maniac okay? Its fucking 2 am in the morning lady. And its freaking dangerous" sabi nito sa seryosong boses. Nakapameywang ito habang nakatitig sa kanya. 

Then she started crying again. 

"Hey, hey, stop crying. Fuck! Damn! " nag papanick na ito. Hindi alam kung lalapit sa kanya o ano. 

"H-help m-me.. " she said while sobbing. 

"Okay. Okay. Of course, I will help you. But stop crying Miss." 

Lumapit ito sa kanya. Pero bago pa sya nito malapitan, everything went black. 

The last thing she remember is an arm catch her from falling. 

"Miss, Miss, oh, goodness gracious."

NAGISING sya sa isang hindi familiar na silid. 

She tried to get up, but failed. Her surrounding is spinning. 

"Don't try to get up Miss, you're still weak." she heard a man's voice. 

Nanlaki ang mga mata nya. She hold the blanket. 

She's scared. 

"Don't be afraid. I told you I am not a bad guy." 

Then she remember the scene where she ask for help. 

And he help her. 

"I - I.. "

"I know you'll say thank you. And you're welcome." the man arrogantly said. 

"W-where am I.. ?" she ask weakly. 

"You're Definitely in my guest room. I brought you here after you passed out. I assumed you walk away from home because of your baggage."

"I did not walk away from home. I.. " she can't say it. Its too painful to say. 

"I won't push you to say it. If you want, you can stay here." he offered. 

"W-why?" hindi makapaniwalang tanong nya. 

"I'm alone. And I work at the hospital non-stop. So I'm not at home, well most of the time." paliwanag nito. 

"What's your name? I'm Loony." pakilala nito. 

"I'm.. Chinggay." 

He smiled. So did she. 

"Nice to meet you Chinggay. Keep yourself at home. If you're hungry, there's a ref in the salas. You will occupying this room from now on. I need to get some sleep. Fuck!" paliwanag nito. 

"Thank you." she genuinely said. 

"Welcome. Talk to you later. Rest well."

Then Loony left the room. 

Napatingin sya sa paligid ng silid. 

Napaka simple niyon pero ang eleganteng tingnan. 

Napakaganda niyon. Napangiti sya. 

She's indeed lucky. 

From nothing to meeting a stranger and then she has a place to stay.
