Ch 9 : The first encounter(Part 2)
I saw someone's hand grabbing the butt of the knife and pulled it out from my arm. I screamed in pain. I was bleeding heavily. The whole hall went silent. Everyone was shocked. I was again forced to get up. I looked into the person who just attacked me and was still grabbing my injured arm right where I was bleeding.
A very beautiful girl with ocean blue eyes, matching her pale white skin and pitch-black long hairs were touching her knees. Her clothes were ancient-looking. That white piece of clothing that was wrapping her whole body was making her look like a goddess from an ancient myth.
But her action startled everyone. Even Zen was taken aback by her sudden behaviour.
"Claire! You are going too far. Leave her hand, " the oracle ordered.

The winning trumpet broke the awkward silence in the arena. The officials from the brunette's pack stared at their precious lady's corpse with widened eyes. A satisfactory smirk appeared on Zen's face. Claire climbed the stairs to the Luna's sacred throne. But an unrelenting groundhog day was awaiting that no one fathomed. Sounds of brutal confrontations and growls were coming from outside. The palm over my mouth stifling me was slowly withdrawn. Edward was right in front of me. However, he was calm. I turned back to come face to face with Alex. We were in a sort of cave that appeared to be hidden within the bushes. "Why are we here? Is it inside the pack? I never saw this place before," I stared at Alex and said. "We are in the pack. But no one knows about this place. You are safe here for now," Alex said. "Shush," Alex hushed, placing his index finger over his lips. The cave had opened into the woods on the other side, just above the tunnel that we used. The war hadn't concluded. The intensity of it made the ceiling of the cave shake violently. After walking for a while, we discovered the exit, covered in thick bushes. Alex began to move them to the side rapidly. Edward and I helped him to make it fast. As far as I could fathom, we were just outside the pack wall that was destroyed earlier. We came out of the tunnel, in an open space. The sky was covered with dark clouds. The moon wasn’t visible, making it even darker. We looked back to find the sea of blood, and the corpses lying on the ground.
