Chapter 3

Samantha POV

Our last exam was yesterday. Today, we get our results. We also get the whole day to pack our belongings, then tomorrow the auction starts.

I don't really have a lot of things. Mostly it is only my clothes and the few make-ups that the school gives you.

Now, that is a class that I did not like. There are so many techniques to use when it comes to make-up. They taught us ten different make-up techniques. I doubt I will ever use them.

I mean who wants to redraw the shape of their face with the contour. I love the shape of my face. If I want to change that, I can just go to a doctor and get some plastic surgery. Yes, they still exist. Some masters take their pets to get a boob job. Don't understand why they did buy them because they liked what they saw.

Don't even get me started on the torture device they call an eyelash curler. I mean that is why there is mascara. I don't need to curl my eyelashes to look better, but the school gives us one anyway.

Joan and I walk into the examination room. We are the first to arrive. We take our seats at the front of the class. We sit and just chat our time away until the students, and professor arrives.

The students start to file in and the professor is not far behind. We settle down and the professor starts talking.

"Never in my life have I been more disappointed in a group of students. There is only one student that made it to the pet's category. Joan. Please make your way to Miss Valerie. She will help you fill in your paperwork for the auction." Joan stands up and makes her way out of the room. The professor goes on. "The next students please make your way to Miss Jacky. She will help you with your paperwork. Well done you are now official slaves. Samantha....." The professor drones 9 more names, but I zoned out.

I am just lucky I am no blood bag. Now we just have to wait and see if I get bought as a slave. The other 9 ladies and I make our way to Miss Jacky. I was up first.

"Hello, Samantha. Congratulation on becoming a slave. There are some questions I would like to ask you. It is for the paperwork. First of is there a specific species that you want to go to?" Miss Jacky asks me with a kind smile.

"Does it matter?" I ask her confused. I didn't know we had a choice.

"Of course it does. We don't want you to be uncomfortable. Let's say you are scared of the species then you won't be the best you can be if you are taught by them. This is why we ask."

"In that case no I don't mind which species I go to. I just want you to clarify that if I was bought by a vampire, I do not wish to be a blood bag. I have an illness and take medicine for it. I do not know what the medicine will do to other species." She writes down what I said and looks back up at me.

"What illness do you have?" Isn't this supposed to be in my school papers?

"Honestly I do not know. If you want to know more about my illness, you need to ask my breeder. I just know that when I was small he started giving me injections. When I ask him about it he clams up, says I need the injections to keep me alive."

"Okay. I will call him. Now next up is your bloodline. Who are your parents?"

"I don't have any. I am an orphan. That is why I have a breeder."

"Do you at least have a surname?"

"I probably have one, but I do not know what it is. I have always been known as Samantha. More than that I do not know."

"Are you 18 or are your birthday still coming up?"

"My birthday is on 2 November 2002."

"Okay, that is good to know. Is there any skill besides housework that you are good at? Something you would like to keep doing even after you are bought?"

"Yes, I would like to keep drawing. I am a good artist."

"Do you have any drawings you can show me?"

"No, my book is in my room."

"Thank you. That will be all. For the rest of the information that you cannot give me I will call your breeder to find out. Remember to start packing. A bus will come and pick all of you up tomorrow morning. You will take all your luggage with you."

I nod my head and walk out of the room. Now that I have time to actually think I realize that in a class of 25, only 11 is safe. The rest of them will be sacrificed. Maybe it is not that bad.

I walk into my room and see Joan sitting on her bed. She is reading a book once again. This is how I am going to remember her. I am the one that daydreams, but she is the one that is always stuck in the clouds. She still believes in fairy tales. Hoping her prince will someday come and rescue her from her cruel fate.

"How did it go?" Joan asks me finally realizing that I am back.

"It wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. I just feel sorry for the other that didn't cut."

"Me too. I can't wait to hear what our two roommates are going to say about being slaves." I giggle a bit. I can just imagine them. They were the ones that told us since they came here that they were destined for something big.

I pick up the suitcases that they placed on my bed. I look around and see everyone that is going to tomorrow's auction has gotten one.

I start packing up everything. I make sure I remember everything.

After my medicine and some food, we went to bed. Tomorrow is a long day. A day that I wish will never come.

Great story but maybe I suggest proof reading? There are many spelling and grammatical errors
