Chapter 04

AUTHOR'S POV

A look of horror crossed Frore's eyes, watching Vayldre's body reshaping into something bigger and unbelievable.

His eyes were holding hers captive, which made her gulp and feel dread deep down in her bones.

Scales started appearing on his face and wings appeared behind his back, before his body completely reshaped into a Golden Dragon.

A dragon so big and magnificient that Frore's breath hitched. She stumbled back and placed her hand on her mouth with her eyes almost popping out of their sockets.

A loud roar sounded and shooked the surroundings, as Frore shrieked and fell down on the ground.

Vayldre's Golden slit eyes were staring at her, before he took off the ground shaking everything around him and flew away towards the Red Dragon.

Not believing her own eyes, Frore kept looking up, still sitting on the ground. She didn't care about anything anymore.

What she was seeing right now, was a magnificient sight.

The Red Dragon flapped its gigantic wings and rushed to The Golden Dragon with so much speed, that Frore almost missed it.

Frore's eyes suddenly started to burn watching them.

They were not attacking each other.

They were just flying close to each other.

This made Frore to think that maybe they were communicating.

Realising the graveness of the situation, she tried to push herself off the floor but fell down again.

What was happening? She screamed out, when her heart started to hurt with a twisted pain.

She placed her hands on the ground to support herself as her mouth opened up with the intensity of that unbearable pain.

Tears pricked the edges of her eyes and she looked down at her chest.

It was like something was glowing inside her.

What was happening? Another gasp left her lips when the pain went down to her whole body, making her place her forehead on the ground, trying to fight this off.

It felt like her blood was boiling and her veins were ripping apart.

It was like, she was on fire.

She was always so cold then what was happening?

She could still hear the flapping of huge wings and the little growls from time to time, but the pain was gradually making her body go numb.

Suddenly, the pain went away and she pushed herself off the ground, sitting back on her knees.

When she looked up, she noticed the Red and Golden Dragon still flying in the air.

Anger started to boil in her veins. What was she so angry about?

She placed her hand on her heart, that was beating slowly.

Abruptly, the pain appeared back as she stared at those Two Dragons.

This time it was more extreme than before. She felt like her flesh was ripping apart from inside.

She yelled out in pain and clenched the grass in her hands, feeling her eyes starting to burn.

When she looked up, her eyes were glowing purplish with an empty look in them. She seemed Hypnotized.

Her hand dropped down from her chest and she leaned back with a smirk forming on her face.

Vayldre who was communicating with Zico - his friend, looked at her from the corner of his eyes and noticed her sitting on the ground, which made him frown.

Before he could understand what happened, her body started to glow brightly before starting to flow in the air with a purplish hue surrounding her.

Vayldre's heart started to beat faster once again and he flew in front of Zico.

Suddenly, Frost started to appear everywhere and snow started to fall from the sky with temperature dropping down several degrees.

In the blink of an eye, a mist formed around Frore and progressed towards Vayldre like a spear made of ice.

Vayldre heaved a breath and exhaled it through his mouth, just when the spear closed on in him.

Surprisingly, the spear didn't melt so Vayldre dodged in horror mind-linking Zico to do the same.

The mist surrounding them turned the atmosphere dark and the realization dawned upon him.

No attack happened after that and the mist started to disappear gradually. When his eyes searched for Frore, he found her laying unconscious on the ground.

He dropped down on the ground with his heavy feet and started to reshape into his human form with a smirk starting to form on his lips.

The snow had stopped falling and the frost had started to disappear.

Finally!

Finally, he found the one he had been searching for years.

Finally, he found EIRLYS ALBERTINE.

He sprinted towards her and turned her around before patting her face, that was burning to his surprise.

He shook his head with happiness starting to engulf his mind and heart before looking back at Zico, who had transformed into his human form.

Zico came beside him and frowned looking down at her unconscious figure.

“ She attacked us! ” Zico pointed his finger toward Frore before lunging towards her to kill her.

Vayldre growled out in an inhumane voice and Zico stumbled back.

“ She is the one we had been looking for...” Vayldre whispered and turned to Frore in a trance.

She looked so peaceful and restless at the same time.

“ Is she- ” Zico's eyes went wide in disbelief and he covered his mouth with his hand.

“ She is Eirlys Albertine. The one who can touch Magic Stone. ” Vayldre hissed and bent down to pick her up.

“ And from the looks of it...” Vayldre picked her up in bridal style and turned to look at Zico with a sinister smirk.

“ She is not aware of the power she holds! ” A chuckle left his lips and he turned around to walk back in the cabin.

He didn't think it would be so easy to find her.

He never thought, that the last heir of Albertine would be so gullible.

Vayldre walked Back into the cabin followed by Zico who looked excited and happy that they finally found the one they had been looking for. Now those humans were going to regret ever betraying the Great Dragons.

With the word Humans, images flashed in front of Zico's eyes - the images of the War that took everything from them and he clenched his hands into fists.

Humans - They were cruel and twisted. Driven by power and the greed, they destroyed the whole world. Their greed that didn't know any boundary led up to where they all were today.

The betrayal of humans ran deeper than anything else. Once they acquired the Magic stone - The epitome of Glory and Power, The Dragons would get rid of the Traitor humans.

Vayldre had promised this…

He had vowed on his pride to destroy all the humans the same way, they destroyed Dragons and themselves hundred of Years ago.

With Eirlys Albertine in their hold now, it wouldn't take long.

The Albertines who destroyed Dragons were going to be the reason behind the destruction of their race too.

That would restore peace.

And that was what Revenge demanded.

Snapping out of his trance, Zico watched his prince laying the woman down on the bed softly, which made his nerves tick.

Vayldre turned around and recognized the fear in his eyes, before he looked back at her hatefully.

“ The balance must be restored My prince...” Zico bowed his head down and mumbled out, fearing that the last prince of the Dragons might have changed his mind in the time, he was disguised as a human.

“ It will be restored! ” Vayldre let out in an authorative tone. An aura of power radiating off him.

“ Life for Life...Death for Death...” Vayldre glanced back at Frore's peaceful face.

“ And betrayal for betrayal! ”

The vengeance in Vayldre's powerful tone could be sensed by Zico, which made his lips curve up in satisfaction.

Dragons were going to reign again.

And the humans must be gotten rid of.

Including every human there is.

*********

A smile appeared on her face as she heard the familiar footsteps behind her, before two arms engulfed her small figure.

Turning around, she hugged him back and took in his scent.

She loved this.

She loved being in his arms.

She loved him...

Suddenly, the scene started to reshape and she was standing on the edge of a cliff, as she watched the Dragons burning everything down with their eternal fire with screams being heard from even here. They burned everything down to the ground, without sparing even Children and Woman.

The sight was so horrifying that made her overwhelmed.

She never thought that she would ever witness something so horrible.

Tears were dripping down from her eyes helplessly, when she looked down at the chains holding her down there.

“ Eirlys! ” The authorative voice called out to her from behind and she snapped her head back with tears of horror and grief still falling down her eyes.

“ Sto-Stop this please! ” She choked out in pain, staring at his face, that could not be recognized now.

He was not the one she had loved.

“ You betrayed me! Now, I will destroy everything that you loved...” With his final words, a pained scream left Eirlys's lips.

Complete darkness engulfed her figure and she found herself drowning in an endless abyss, that suffocated her to the point every inch of her body was hurting.

“ Betrayal...” A female voice that sounded like her own echoed in her head and Frore looked around herself, only to be met with darkness.

Darkness that drowned her.

Darkness that made her want to forget...even herself.

She jolted up in her bed with a scream errupting through her mouth, feeling her eyes starting to burn again. What was happening? What was it?

She wiped her forehead and heaved a heavy breath.

It was just a dream.

Maybe being alone for this long had messed up with her mind.

She snickered at her own stupidity.

She was dreaming about a handsome man then he turned to dragon and then she found herself in old times where Dragons were Destroying everything.

“ Feeling better? ” A masculine voice husked and Frore's eyes shot up to look at the man standing beside the door in all his mouth-watering Glory.

“ Vayldre...The Golden Dragon! ” A whisper left her mouth, as she fainted once again dropping down on the bed.
