Chapter 36
We arrived back in Matlock, a little over 24 hours ago and for the first time in two weeks, I had a peaceful nights rest without Octavious next to me or on top of me. I hoped that he was taking care of the threat and he would make sure that it doesn’t get out of hand, because I’m not too keen on using the gun like he said I might. Since he’s the one who brought me into this life, he better make sure nothing bad happens to me.
It was also the first time that I’ve been back in these mansion walls since my attempted escape. Being here and no longer stuck on the beach with a man who managed to make me turn against myself, I wasn’t blinded anymore and I couldn’t escape the reality of my life.
