Chapter 22

Previously on Heat Vol 2…

"What is it that you wanted to tell me?" She asked as Jake sighed, "On my way to your room, I bumped into Megan," he said as Ashley furrowed her eyebrows, "Okay, and what did she say?" Ashley asked as Jake looked down at his shoes.

"Ash, Megan's pregnant and she said I'm the father."

Ashley stared back at Jake in disbelief. Her heart had dropped to her stomach and her breathing had accelerated, causing the machine that monitored her heart to go crazy. Jake realized what he had done and immediately began to panic as he gently grabbed onto Ashley’s pale face.

“Hey, Ash, Imma need you to calm down okay, calm down, baby,” he said as tears welled up in Ashley’s eyes, “She’s pregnant, y-you got someone else pregnant, Jake?” She asked as she grabbed onto his t-shirt, “Listen, I’m just as confused as you, okay,” Jake said as Ashley frustratedly ran her hands over her face.

“How is she pregnant, Jake, I thought you were seeing her anymore?”
