CHAPTER FOURTEEN

The next morning, Wilkes Milton woke up an hour almost before Harold did.

While Harold slept, he bath, prepared for school and made a breakfast of waffles and honey. Unlike Harold, he had brought food stuffs which he could prepare easily.

“Rise and shine, sleepyhead,” he told Harold as he placed one arm on his shoulder and shook him.

On the bed, Harold groaned, muttered nonsense, turned to the other side and drifted off to sleep.

Wilkes found that amusing and wouldn't have traded seeing Harold that way for anything else.

Usually, Harold was the first to wake up but he had been so tired last night he didn't on time.

He leaned close to Harold's ear which was sheathed by his hair and whispered, “Waffles is ready and with it, there's a fruit juice.”
