(06) Hunter and The Three Unforgivable Curses

It was an ambush. Blake was standing there all by himself when we approached him but then suddenly there were two more guys who came out of nowhere and pushed us forward from behind. The fight was inevitable. I threw as many punches and as many kicks as I could to the two bulky guys while Ty was onto Blake.

After what felt like an hour or two, we've managed to knock all three of them. Ty was holding Blake by his collar, looking down at the bruised football player, he said, "If you dare to do anything ever again, you'll face something worse than what you got tonight." Ty shoved him and walked away.

He shoved Blake away and turned to me. "You okay, man?"

"Yeah," I brushed the blood off my lips with the back of my sleeves. "Son of a bitch, who knew he would bring companies."

We got into the car and drove off. On our way, Luc called and I heard Ty saying, "Hey, man, we need frozen peas. The fucker brought companies and one of them gave me a souvenir."

"A black eye," he added as he stole a glance at me. "Hunter's fine. Though he can't kiss anyone for a while now."

I smirked and pushed his arm jokingly. I bet Luc was laughing his ass off too in the other end.

Ty suddenly stopped laughing, his face turned serious. "What did she say?" I didn't have to ask to know that he was probably talking about Autumn, the girl he fancied. "How does she know?" I focused on the road, listening to a one-sided phone call could be very frustrating. You didn't know what the person on the other side was saying.

It was only when he groaned that I turned and asked him, "You okay, man?"

"Yeah, I'm fine, just keep your eyes on the road," answered Ty as he swapped the phone to his left hand. He turned his attention back to his conversation with Lucas, saying, "I'm screwed, Luc. I told her I went to fix the car." A few minutes later he hung up and sagged on his seat.

Using my right hand while the other remained on the steering wheel, I patted his shoulder lightly. Whatever it was, I knew he wouldn't be able to stop thinking about it and I could understand, considering I couldn't stop thinking about Mey either. Ty let out another exasperated sigh. I turned to him and said, "You're going to be okay, man."

I knew she'd come to see me the next day, once she found out that Tyler and I caused several bruises on her little brother's face and ego. That was another reason I didn't want to go to school today, but I had a Biology test in the fourth period. I could skip lessons all I wanted but I wasn't allowed to skip tests or quiz.

"Hunter," she put one hand on the locker door beside mine while the other was firmly on her hip. "We need to talk."

Meet Natasha Astoria Ryan, known as Nat Ryan. We've dated during my second and third year, broke up several times then made up every single time, except for the last one, which happened a year ago. She wanted us to get back together, initiating her intention in every possible way. Unfortunately, I felt that enough was enough.

We fought more often than an old married couple and whenever she was angry, she'd pull a prank to let me know that my life sucked without her. Last time, she took my twin little sisters out to go to an arcade without telling me. I had to spend the entire day looking for them and D.C. was a big enough city to scare someone like me. The fact that my little sisters were only seven years old didn't help the case either.

She called me after several hours of misery and told me that she was with them. I tuned out faster than dads at a Bieber concert. She said she thought it'd be funny. Well, now she knew that messing with my mind and taking my little sisters out without notice wasn't funny at all.

Without giving her so much as a glance, I continued to arrange my books in the tiny locker. "I don't have anything to say to you."

"Well, I have plenty!" she took the books from my hands and dumped them inside the locker, pissing me off altogether.

I turned and crossed my arms. "What is your problem?"

"You are my problem, Hunter!" Her eyes went wild, she looked like she could murder someone without a blink.

But I wasn't the type that easily felt intimidated. "That's not my problem." I shrugged.

"Why did you hurt Blake last night? Is this your way of revenge for what I did last year when I took your little sisters without telling you?" She narrowed her eyes.

"Taking someone's sisters without telling them is considered kidnapping," I gave her a hard stare. I unfolded my arms and slammed my locker door close. "And just so you know," I leaned in and lifted her chin with one finger, "not everything is about you, sweetheart."

I turned around and walked away. Nat was my ex and now I was going to meet my future.
