Chapter 2

After the pregnancy text had been conducted on Isabel, Nathaniel Dave and Isabel waited at the ward for the result. Nathaniel Dave couldn't wait to know if that shameless woman had really got pregnant for him. 

A doctor walked in and Nathaniel Dave quickly asked, "What is the result?" 

"Sir!" The doctor was surprised at Nathaniel Dave's question, that wasn't what he had come for. He was a different doctor. 

"I came to tell you that Cecilia Abraham was rushed to the hospital just now."The doctor said. 

Nathaniel Dave's mind skipped in fear, what could have happened to Cecilia? She was already paralyzed, what worse could fate do to her? 

"Lead me there." Nathaniel ordered the doctor and the doctor lead him to where Cecilia was. 

Nathaniel saw that Cecilia was laying with her eyes closed, was she unconscious? It took him a while before he realized that Mr and Mrs Abraham was present in the ward. 

"Good morning, Mr Nathaniel." Mr Abraham greeted him. 

"I'm sorry, I wasn't quick to realize you are here. What happened to her?" Nathaniel Dave questioned. 

"I can't say precisely but this was what she was writing in her diary before she became unconscious." Mrs Abraham said bitterly and handed over Cecilia's diary to Nathaniel Dave. 

Nathaniel Dave began to read, "It's so much pain living as a paralyzed woman, my sister made me lost my two legs, as if that wasn't enough, she wouldn't give me the man that genuinely loves me. Dear Isabel, what does it take to you to sign the divorce papers and let me have the man that originally belongs to me. I guess I'll kill myself since fate has decided to be unfair with me in all areas of my life." 

Nathaniel Dave's heart broke on reading the diary, He gritted his teeth and felt like hitting that shameless Isable. If Isabel's parent had known that Nathaniel Dave would still loved Isabel despite her leg paralysis, they wouldn't need to tell her sister to disguise and marry Nathaniel. 

Nathaniel walked to the side of Cecilia and rubbed her forehead, "Could it be that she tried to commit suicide?" 

"We can't tell." Mr Abraham replied. 

"What are you doing at the hospital, Mr Nathaniel? We were about planning on phoning you when a doctor walked in that her sister's husband was in the hospital." Mr Abraham said. 

"Oh! I was here with Isabel." He said and Mr and Mrs Abraham exchanged surprising glances. They were quiet aware that Nathaniel Dave hates Isabel with passion and hardly visits his villa, What could he be doing in the hospital with Isabel? Was he caring for her already? 

Even though Mr and Mrs Abraham didn't exchange words, the expression on her their face says a lot. 

Nathaniel understood their worries, "Seems she is pregnant, we came here for text." 

"Pregnant!" Mr And Mrs Abraham exclaimed, they were very furious, they have never liked Isabel. How could Isabel ever get pregnant for a man that was suppose to be an husband to their beloved daughter. 

Mr. Abraham already felt like killing Isabel, he was enraged. 

"And has it been confirmed that she was pregnant?"  Mrs. Abraham asked. 

"Not yet, I was waiting for the result when I got informed that Cecilia was brought to the hospital. Did the doctor says she would be fine?"He asked. 

" Yes, they said we should only allow her to rest, they already administered some injections to her." Mr Abraham answerd.

"If Isabel was truly pregnant, what would you do concerning the pregnancy"  If it was left for Mrs. Abraham, she would definitely abort the baby, no matter how Isabel tried, she would still ensure that she aborts her child but she wanted to know what Mr Nathaniel Dave's plan was. 

"The pregnancy can't be mine, maybe she slept with another man while I was absent. A shamelss woman like her could do anything." Nathaniel Dave answered. He hasn't decided himself on what to do with the pregnancy, he sure has a plan of aborting the pregnancy but what if the child was his, it meant that he would be killing his own child. No, he was cold and cruel indeed but not a murderer. 

Isabel knew that if her sister was present at the hospital then both of her parents would definitely be present. She had lived all her life to be hated by her parents, she thought that when she got married, her life would take a turn but it was from worse to worst, her husband had never showed her the thinnest dimension of love. 

Isabel was scared of the test result, If Nathaniel Dave finds out, he would sure abort the baby. She does not have enough strength to fight a man that was powerful as Nathaniel Dave but maybe she could run away. 

It was the only way she could save her pregnancy, while she was contemplating on running away, a doctor walked in. The only outstanding handsome man that Isabel had ever seen was Nathaniel Dave, another man that she could refer to as an handsome man was the doctor approaching her. 

He was exquisite in everything, Isabel couldn't stop himself from gazing at the man. "I'm here for your pregnancy text result." 

Isabel sighed and blinked her eye repeatedly as a result of her nervousness, "Can you do a favour for me?" 

"Of course, I should."The doctor answered politely. 

"Can you manipulate the text result, I do not want my husband to know that I'm pregnant, he would definitely abort it. My pregnancy is my only hope, please help me."Isabel pleaded sincerely, she knew it was not right for her to ask for such favour from the doctor as it could lead to his immediate expulsion from his work. 

Isabel wished that the doctor would do that for him and hoped she would be able to pay him back in the future. 

The handsome doctor only stared at the woman pittfully. 

"I will pay you back in the future, just do this for me." Isabel further pleaded. 

Nathaniel Dave had stood at the entrance of the room that the doctor and Isabel were. The doctor was backing the door and was covering the sight of Isabel. None of them could see him. 

He was extremely angry that a man stood before his wife to exchange words for more than one minute. Even if he wants to deliver the text result to her, it shouldn't take less than ten seconds. 

Nathaniel Dave knew they were discussing,but their words were like whispers, he couldn't eavesdropped on what  they were talking about. 

How can an ordinary doctor had the gut to speak to his wife? He felt disrespected. He decided at once to get him fired. 

The owner of the hospital was also a rich business mogule, more like they were in the same class of wealth as the man had the largest and most expensive hospitals in thirty there countries. 

The owner of the hospital answered Nathaniel Dave's call at once. 

"Mr Nathaniel Dave, so awesome to receive your call."The man said cheerfully. 

"Thank you, Mr Brown. I need you to fire a doctor from your hospital immediately, please." Nathaniel Dave was sure the man would definitely do what he had requested. 

As soon as the doctor and Isabel heard Mr Nathaniel Dave's words, they both turned to him. Isabel became very scared and regret that he had caused the termination of an innocent doctor. 

But the doctor's look was indifferent, he doesn't look scared or disturbed, he only stared at Mr. Nathaniel Dave blankly. 

"His name, please?" The owner of the hospital asked Nathaniel Dave. 

Nathaniel Dave walked to the doctor and peeked at the name that was written on the ID Card that he hung on his neck. 

"Joseph Brown." He answered the owner of the hospital. 

"Joseph Brown!" The owner of the hospital exclaimed. 

"Yes, what about him?" Nathaniel Dave asked and suddenly realized that the doctor bore the same surname with the owner of the hospital. "Is he your son?"

"Of course, yes. I'm sorry, Mr Nathaniel Dave, I can't help with this." The owner of the hospital then went off the call. 

"I only came here to deliver the text result to Mrs Dave, please, don't  be offended." Despite how powerful the doctor was, he was polite. He was wealthy and only decided to work in his father's hospital for a year for reasons best known to him. 

"Oh!" Nathaniel Dave could only exclaim. "And is she pregnant or not?" 

Isabel was scared of what the doctor's reply would be. She prayed that the doctor would say exactly what she wanted him to say. 

"She's pregnant."The doctor said to Isabel's Dissapontment. How can he be so unkind, Isabel was not happy at the handsome but unkind doctor. Could it be that all handsome men are always cruel?

" But you dare not abort it, Mr Nathaniel Dave." The doctor further added, and that left Isabel shocked. 

Nathaniel Dave couldn't believe what he just heard, did this silly doctor just had the gut to tell him that?
