Chapter 27: Reunited, and it feels so good

It has been a while since I last saw Traeger. I miss him so much. After I was “rescued” from the forest. I was taken to a hospital to have myself checked over. They asked me a lot of questions. Especially how I survived. I told them that I had taken a water bottle and a few protein bars. Which was made valid when Traeger left a few empty bottles and wrappers. He also placed my swim bag in the spot to prove that I carried water and protein bars for a walk. Thankfully, the police didn’t find the bag in my house, because I had left it at the campsite by mistake. I told him about it when we were planning my “rescue.” He went back for it, ran it through some dirt and threw it near the empty bottles.

My parents showed up in the hospital looking happier than I’ve ever seen them. After several happy cries and hugs, we went back to the cabin. I was not allowed out of my parent’s sight after that. We went home days l
