HARLOW WOKE UP STARTLED. Feeling her body, she realized that she didn't wake up from any burning pain; then again, she wouldn't feel anything since she had been taking those pills her Doctor had given her. They made her feel numb, like she lacked feelings, and other times they made her feel like her brain was slowing down, and everything moved in slow motion. Most of the time, they make her feel tired.
It was better than to feel the burning pain. Way better than the pain.
