Chapter Nine

Tatina POV

Dinner with Lila was ridiculous. It just made me uneasy. She seemed preoccupied with something else. Maybe I am worrying too much. It just feels strange. And the vampire she spoke with at the restaurant. Something about all of that did not sit right with me. I will not make the mistake of questioning her again.

I get to meet Mr. Craig tonight. I will freshen up before he gets here and maybe change clothes. I am not sure what I should wear or say or look like or how to be. I could just try calming down a little and be myself. I am sure everything will be fine. I am just not sure about Lila. The best thing for me to do is keep my mouth shut and listen.

Someone is knocking on my door. "Come in," I say.

"Mr. Craig is home early and waiting for you in the study," she says. I have no idea who she is. She is very small. She is even smaller than me and looks very pregnant.

"Thank you," I say, but she closes the door before I can even get it all out.

I run into the bathroom and moisturize my face and apply fresh mascara. What the heck I put a little lip gloss on. I walk to the door. I feel like I am standing here holding the handle for eternity. I am nervous but I can do this. Look what all I have already been through.

I walk carefully down the stairs and look around as I go down. I can't remember where the study is. I think it is that first room. I walk over to the first door. "Not there! Go down the hall second on the right," I hear Lila yell at me.

I do not even bother saying thank you or piss off. I walk toward the hall. I turn the corner and as I am just about to open the door, he opens it for me. "Hello my dear," he says. Whoa. Mr. Craig is young and handsome. Well of course he is young he is a vampire. I guess I was expecting some creepy guy who wanted a young girl around.

"Hi," I say very timidly.

He reaches for me. "Now Now. Do not be afraid of me. Come on in here and let us get to know one another," he says.

I take his hand and he leads me into the study. He seats down in a chair and pats his lap. He wants me to sit in his lap. "Sit right here on me," he says.

I do exactly what he says. After all, I do belong to him. "Tatina, you were in a very dangerous position and there are only a few options for you. Do you understand?" he asks.

"Yes sir. I am aware," I say.

Craig POV

Damn, she is beautiful. I cannot believe how much she looks like Julie. Jayne said she was a beauty but she did not tell me she looked like Julie. "Tatina there are things we have to discuss," I say to her.

She shifts in my lap. "I understand. I was told you have rules to follow. I was told I would be expected to be available to you," she says.

She is so fragile. I am not sure I will auction her. I may keep her for myself. I am sure we could find another breeding bitch to auction. She could be all mine. I could have her with me always.

"I have to ask you something. It is a little personal?" I say.

She nods. "I know what you are going to ask. And yes I am a virgin sir," she says.

"It is important to me that you are," I tell her.

"I understand. I have never been with anyone in any way. I have never even kissed a boy," she says.

"I understand Horace tried to take something that was not his when you were at the auction house," I ask her.

"Yes. Jayne saved me. She shot at him," she says.

This poor thing. Damn that Horace he is dead.

"I will take care of Horace," I tell her.

She looks me deep in the eyes as she is listening to my questions. I lean in and kiss her.

"Now you can say you have been kissed," I tell her.

She leans in and kisses me.

"Yes I can," she says.

She shifts in my lap. Her body is so small. I run my hand up her leg just to feel her. I pull her back to me and kiss her again. I haven't really kissed a woman since I lost my Julie. She pulls back. "Are you okay my sweet?" I ask her.

"Yes," she says. She kisses me and places my hand back on her leg. "Don't stop," she says.

I feel her legs tremble as my hand runs up her inner thigh.
