Chapter 6

Rosabella's Pov

Meeting the nice man and his family was fun l really enjoyed their company but the elder ones had to leave so the younger ones stayed behind with me 

The ones that man introduced as his children seemed to talk less and they stayed away from me but l didn't know why they were all here in the first place

The other one Xavier also kept his distance from me but the others were so good to me and even if l knew it was only for a while l enjoyed my time with them 

I wonder where my so called parents are ,they didn't even bother to visit me and check if l am fine or not l guess they were probably praying that l died but l didn't expect anything less from them anyway 

"Did you hear anything about the girl l was with" l asked the nurse who had come to check on me suddenly remembering the rude girl who was dragging me with her

"Yes she's actually doing good" the nurse said and left but the boys remained

"Did you know her" the one who introduced himself as Nikolai

"No l just bumped into her on the way" l said

"Then how did the both of you end up together" the other one named Ernesto asked

"Apparently she is a princess who doesn't take lightly to being bumped into "l said jokingly but apparently the other boys didn't like the joke 

"Don't talk about her like that" one of the nice man's sons shouted and out of instinct l cowered away and closed my eyes waiting for a slap or kick but nothing came my way so l raised my head to see the boys looking at me strangely almost like they were trying to read me 

"You thought he was going to hit you" Maximus l think said and mentally face palmed myself for being stupid 

"No of course not ,l think am being a bit edge and panicky because of the accident" l said hoping they would believe my lie 

"And am sorry about what l said about that girl it was rude of me to judge her based on our first meeting and from the way you reacted it is pretty obvious she is very close to you " l told them honestly because they wouldn't react that way if she wasn't someone they knew or cared deeply about

"You don't have to be sorry Bella it's not your fault some people can't see a wolf in sheep's clothing"l am guessing the one named Nicolo said

"Don't. You. Dare start your nonsense here "Elonzo said menacingly said glaring at Nicolo who smirked enjoying his reaction and l figured that it was best l don't answer

"You are one to talk after what your disgusting brother did to our sister" the nice man's youngest child whose name is Alexander said

"Don't you dare talk shit about my brother Alex "Nicolo's twin Nikolai shouted

"Nikolai let's get some air" Xavier who l assume is his brother said pulling his brother with him and Nicolo followed them but not before glaring at Alexander

"You know what ,l don't have time to play happy family with some little wannabe bitch l have to take care of my sister" Leonardo the one who shouted at me for talking bad about that girl who l am now guessing is their sister said as he left my room but not before glaring at me and for some reason it hurt hearing him say that about me

"Can you guys leave me alone for a bit l feel very tired now" l asked them holding back my tears 

"If it's about what Leonardo said then l am sorry he just likes acting on his anger" his twin l assume said

"I am just tired " l turned to the other said and closed my eyes hoping that they would leave and luckily enough l heard the door open followed by some footsteps then the door closed again

I opened my eyes and l felt tears flowing down from my eyes and l cried for my parents who haven't visited me , l cried for the pain that l know l'll suffer when l go home and l cried for my father who l'll most likely never find 

Am l destined for pain all my life, will l always be insulted and called names despite being innocent , what did l do to deserve this pain, why couldn't l just for in that accident because I have no reason to live

I hadn't heard that someone had entered my room until they cleared their throat and l noticed it was a beautiful woman probably my mother's age but she was naturally beautiful

The woman approached me and touched my cheek "you are beautiful" she said and for some reason that complement from her made me happy and l smiled

"but l can never let you ruin my daughters life" she said as a tear fell from her eyes like she hated what she was about to do

"What are you talking about" l asked her confused

"If Matteo tells Alexa about you she won't be able to take it and l can't lose my daughter"she said while wiping her tears 

"Let me tell you a story Rosa and l want to listen to me carefully" she emphasised and l nodded

"13 years ago l gave birth in this hospital and l couldn't see my daughter because l passed out just before they could give her to me and because she was born premature she had to be checked

When they brought her to me from the moment l touched her l knew that she couldn't have been my daughter but before l could say anything she opened her eyes and from that moment l was sure she wasn't my daughter

My husband was so excited to me his little princess but when he saw her he instantly knew she wasn't his as well but the difference is that he suspected me for cheating on his even though he couldn't say it l saw it in his eyes

My husband's job is dangerous and l never wanted to be a part of it but l loved him so l thought l could leave with it but l couldn't and by the time l realised that it was too late we had kids

When l found out l was expecting a girl l was very happy but my husband was over the moon it was all he talked about and l knew that the baby was going to be his weakness not that he didn't love his sons but his love for his daughter was bigger

So when l noticed the hospital had given me the wrong baby l stayed quiet in because it was the right thing to do to protect my daughter from her father's enemies

A few weeks later the hospital contacted me to inform me that a woman was claiming to have been given the wrong baby the day my daughter was born and l instantly knew that she was the one whose baby had been exchanged with mine 

I met the woman alone and gave her an offer she couldn't refuse my husband was rich so l gave her 10 million in order for her to disappear along with the baby and luckily she did

What l didn't know was that l wasn't just going to lose my baby that day but my husband as well 

A few years ago my daughter, the one l raised found out that her father wasn't her biological father and she threatened that if l ever admitted to have cheated on her father she would kill herself and l can't let her find out that even l am not her mother, she won't be able to accept the truth and l've already kept her from her parents for 13 years l can't ruin her life further more"when she stopped talking l was still shocked that it took me a while t

"But why are you telling all this to me" l asked not sure why she was telling all this to me

"Because you are my biological daughter " and when she said that l felt my whole world come to a stand still 

"What" l felt tears flowing down my eyes 

"You have to go away from our lives before Matteo tells Alexa the truth" she paced back and forth in my room but with every moment my heart was breaking

"Why don't you want me ,tell me why you gave me up ,why wasn't l enough for you that you keep rejecting me again and again "l cried begging for my mother to accept me just once 

"I don't hate you but l can't lose Alexa too so you have to go "she said

"No why should l go ,you don't want me it's okay but my father will atleast want me " l said furiously wiping my tears

"He will want you and hellh even yearn for you but he will never have you " she said as she injected my neck with something and everything went blank

Selena's Pov 

I stared at my beautiful daughter who was passes out and cried but l had to be strong for Alexa l couldn't let anything happen to her and as long as Matteo had Rosabella he would never be able to accept Alexa

I did what any mother would do for their daughter and l don't regret it because Rosabella will be safe ,l'll send her far from here then l'll convince Matteo not to tell Alexa the truth until we find Rosabella which will never happen

The Rossi family will be easy to deal with as long as l pay them they'll keep their mouths shut to Alexa

"I am sorry Rosabella but l have to put my daughter first before anyone else" l said carrying her sleeping form out of the hospital to the car that was waiting for her outside

Taking her out of the hospital was not easy as Matteo had his men guard outside her room but l had distracted them when going out with her to the back door

I gave Rosabella to the man and woman l had hired to take care of her 

"Take care of her"l told them as they both entered the car to leave

When they left l shed a few tears for my daughter who will never get to feel her biological parent's love

I wasn't wrong right?? All l did was protect her
