Chapter 5

Lucinda is still busy watering the flowers she really enjoys this more than anything Dray is still working out and checking her out every second he really can't resist staring at her every second.Lucinda is really trying so hard not to look at him cause she really feels like he is watching her .After a few minutes Mrs Ney comes out holding a chair and walks towards Dray and sits next to him with a bottle of water. Lucinda suddenly removes the earphones cause she knew somehow Mrs Ney was going to say something to her in a few minutes Mrs Ney asks her if she already met Dray ,and he suddenly stands up after doing some pushups and smiles at her yes mum we have met already she is a nice girl he says smiling at his mom also.Mrs Ney seems so happy to know they already know each other like she knew her son had interest in Lucinda .Yeah we have Mrs Ney Lucinda says smiling at her,Ooh so your name is Lucinda huh I thought you said you guys already talked how come you don't know her name Mrs Ney asks Dray well let's just say I forgot to ask her name .

Dray is done with his workout and he leaves Mrs Ney outside goes into the yard with his bottle of water holding his T-shirt.Dray please out some water on the stove ,alright mum.Lucinda is also done taking care of the flowers Mrs Ney I am going to leave you out here enjoy your day ma'am thank you Lucinda you did well with the flowers she says smiling.Thank you ma'am as she closes the gate .Soon as she locks the gate she starts smiling seems like she was starting to like Dray no matter how hard she tried ignoring him .Daren are you up already she shouted before entering the house holding a bucket and placed it on the doorstep.She finds Daren on the couch watching TV with earphones on .She decides not to disturb him and goes straight takes a shower and prepares breakfast ,calls him to have breakfast with her .Daren prefers to play games instead after Lucinda finishes having her breakfast she then joins him in the living room. Daren what's the name of your friend from nextdoor?Lucinda asks with a smile on her face but Daren does not know the reason why his sister wants to know information on his friend all of a sudden,he answers her anyways its Drake .

I did not know he has a big brother,oh yes he does have a brother Dray he is always working out when I go over to their place.I heard he has a firm in town he is so rich .Lucinda moves from her couch goes too close to Daren saw she can hear clearly what Daren had just said ,so in other words Mrs Ney's family is rich yeah I heard Drake's father owns 4schools and a university in California. I see Lucinda says as she stands up taking her phone and earphones from the table and starts walking to bedrooms a few minutes later their mum walks in holding ice creams hey guys how was your day,as she hands each one of them an ice cream.Mine was ok Daren answers ,I see someone was in a good mood for work today her mum said staying at Lucinda she had noticed a difference on the flowers.Thank you mum for noticing she smiled ,how was work .It was ok was hoping to find your dad home ,he isn't here yet we have to go and collect the results looks like he is going to dismiss late today.Why don't I just call there and they tell us whether I passed or not.I am pretty sure you made it my child but its ok you can go on and call them.Lucinda picks up her phone and dials the number the office answers but unfortunately she has to collect them personally. If dad gets home late that means I won't be collecting them today ?yeah we will go tomorrow he is not going to work. Lucinda is already fed up with staying at home she wants something to do rather than sitting and dealing with the nagging guy next door ,she just wants to keep her mind busy there is no way she thinks they will be in a relationship.

Mrs Ney is such a lovely woman Lucinda says she is nice ,she talks to everyone.She is a great women she does a lot of charity work everyone loves her ,she is a loving and caring woman .Where did you see her Diana asks standing up and opening the fridge for a cold drink she was actually sitting outside her yard when I was busy with my flowers.The family is rich too i heard she has a son who owns a firm in town haven't met him I think he is not in town though ,well he is I saw him today when I was busy with the flowers he was working out outside the gate.Oooh that's means he came this side recently she used to stay alone.Mr Ney is in California he is one of the richest businessman there.Well sounds like a very interesting family huh Lucinda says shifting from her couch.She suddenly changes the topic so if I make it mum I wanna apply for a job at a firm as a receptionist. That's what you really want to do Lucinda?yes mum that's what I want to do.I have always dreamt of becoming a receptionist if I get a chance i will be happy.I will apply at those firms in town maybe I will get a a chance,Lucinda seems so excited talking about the job she wants but Diana was thinking she would choose to become something more like  a Lawyer or Judge but she had to disagree with her cause that's what she wants.

Around 7pm in the evening Derek walks in from work looking so exhausted he sits down and greets everyone .How was your day dad Daren sits on his laps ,it was ok son how are ?I am ok .Diana brings him some food to eat how was work my love she asks helping him wash his hands ,it was alright how was your day?Mine was ok .Your big girl been nagging me about her results she wants to collect them as soon as possible ,she called to ask about her results but they said she should collect them in person.I told her we are going to collect them tomorrow you not going to work right?yeah I think so if nothing comes up you know I am a busy man right,he smiles at her .I will make time though even if something comes up I will time for my girls Lucinda gets so happy and hugs him,thank you dad.Their favourite show steve harvey show is starting in a few minutes Derek eats fast so he doesn't mess in the living room whilst he is sitting in the dining .Daren starts countdown for the show luckily he was done eating they all go and sit down to watch today he is talking about learning and he invites a few students to the show Daren is so happy and excited to watch it.
