A Notice

Feelings of annoyance, confusion, tension all mixed into one in my heart. The first day I entered Raka's house, I met a terrible thing like this. Inside the box was a dead white bird, covered with blood and placed in the refrigerator. When all of Raka's extended family gathered in the lounge, I knew that this bird was Mrs Mira's favourite bird.

"Until when will everything be like this? Isn't it enough terror that happened so far? "Mr Jacob protested sternly. I watched one by one Raka's big family. Their faces were like they were tired of this kind of thing.

Mrs Linda sat while on her husband's lap, grandmother sat quietly. Mulan and Patricia acted ignorant, while Raka stood in front of the window staring at the scenery outside. "How could that person have the heart to kill my Boly, look at my beloved bird is dead," said Mrs Mira sadly. She had been crying, sobbing all this time.

"Who cleaned my room today?" asked Raka in his baritone voice. Jane left, and soon she returned with the maids who worked at the house. the maids lined up while lowering their heads

"I clean the room, Mr. Raka", said one of the maids. His body was small and thin. The maid had a pale face with fear. "Oh, so you killed my lovely bird?" said Mrs Mira, immediately accusing. She even pointed rudely at the maid. I was stunned at the unfounded accusation.

"No Madame, I didn't do anything. I'm just cleaning the room as usual. I didn't see the contents of the refrigerator, really, "said the maid defensively. But of course, her words failed to convince Mrs Mira,

"If it's not her, then the illegitimate child," said Mulan, joining the conversation. All eyes are on Mulan, who is even more flabbergasted, are there any other children in this house ?. I don't understand the situation in this family. And as a daughter-in-law in this house, I don't want to interfere with things I don't know where they come from.

"Didn't your parents teach you how to speak properly?" said Grandma Raka scolding Mulan. Mulan chuckled, annoyed at the reprimand. "Never mind. Liora has said that she is innocent. Mira, you shouldn't accuse someone without proof" Raka's mother joined in the conversation. Amid this commotion, I turned to look at Raka. he was still standing in front of the window with that flat face.

"Just fire the maid named Liora", blurted Raka. I shook my head unacceptably while Liora fell to his seat, unable to hear Raka's decision. I squeezed my hand furiously, I wanted to protest, but Jane grabbed my shoulder. As if giving a signal that I better be quiet.

"Raka ?, why did you make such a hasty decision. Liora has worked for us for a long time. she can't possibly do that," Raka Mother defended Liora. I nodded in agreement. But Raka didn't want to give in at all. "Even close friends can become enemies, right? who knows what is in the human heart," said Raka stubbornly.

It was then that the sound of Liora's sobs began to sound soft. "It's true what Raka said, this damn maid could play and kill my favorite bird" Mrs Mira was still not satisfied with cursing Liora.

"Stop accusing, we don't have any proof", said Raka's father. Raka's father took a deep breath looking at Raka. "Raka, don't make decisions as you like. Things like this have happened a lot in this house." he said. Raka smiled slightly "I don't care", said Raka firmly.

Suddenly grandma stood up "nobody's fired. Stop all this debate. just now Amara came here, you guys have shown problems like this. Aren't you ashamed ?. I feel ashamed because of my own family. Liora and the other helpers, go back to work," ordered Raka's grandma. Strangely Raka did not fight back at all. I just realized that Grandma Raka's decision was absolute, and no one dared to argue. It seems that this family has great respect for grandma, including Raka.

I let out a heavy sigh when I saw the text messages on my cell phone. Deliana has sent me many letters of protest. Deliana's message always asks about my condition, whether I'm happy or not, whether I'm having a hard time through my life. I don't know how to tell Deliana all this.

"Arghhh, how should I reply to Deliana's message? surely she will be surprised if I tell what I experienced today. Like, I found a dead bird in the refrigerator? Ahhh "I protested chaotically. I've even taken a hot shower to freshen up my body. Still, I feel uncomfortable.

My eyes circled the surroundings. I occupy the highest room in this house. I am spoiled with luxury, but why am I so lonely. I heard the lift open, and I suddenly walked over to the elevator to see who was coming. "Raka is that you?" I asked.

I immediately fell silent when that person was not Raka, but Raka's grandma came over to me. Awkwardness hit my body, "Raka is gone. didn't he tell you?" asked grandma smiling at me.

I brought Raka grandma to sit in the living room. For a moment, there was only silence while grandma looked at me from toe to hair. I think grandma is judging me from the outside. But isn't it enough to judge someone by their appearance alone?

"You haven't answered my question, didn't Raka tell you that he went out?" asked grandma to open the chat again. I shook my head wistfully. Grandma cleared her throat, "I thought it was. You're going through a tiring time. Having a marriage relationship with someone like Raka. I hope you stay as strong as you can," Raka's grandma stroked my head. I feel a touch of affection from this.

"I'm fine", I said courageously to fight grandma's chat. I let out a sigh of relief because grandma treated me warmly. "Raka is hard to predict. He's like that because of past trauma. you know? Raka married you to cover up the bad rumors that are circulating. We all chose you because of the news we often hear," said grandma

I wrinkled my forehead confused "what's the news?" I asked. Grandma Raka touched my shoulder. "They said you are a woman who always stays at home, you are a very obedient child with family. You take care of your attitude and behavior. And it turns out it's all true, your face is very shady. I am relieved that Raka has a wife like you," praised grandma.

I was a little stunned, it's true that all this time, I've only been hanging out in the house. But they all don't know what I'm living, even though I want to feel freedom like other women. It's just that my mother is very embarrassed by my shortcomings. Not many know. Only my family knows, even though my mother insisted that I was out of my mind.

"Ahh, thanks for your compliment" I replied, smiling blandly. Grandma got up, made me stand up too. "I just wanted to make sure you were doing. You don't need to feel awkward with me. If there's anything you want to know, just ask me. My room is on the third floor, I will be happy to tell you many things. Good evening," said the grandmother and left.

I let go of my beautiful smile until the elevator door closed. And let out a sigh of relief because all this time, I feel suffocated, even though Raka grandma has been friendly to me. I hurriedly reached into my cellphone from my pants pocket. I looked for someone's number until I realized and tapped myself on the forehead "I forgot that I don't have Raka's phone number. I don't even know Raka's social media. hmmm "I complained

The night was getting late. Even though I had covered my whole body with a thick blanket, I was also looking for a comfortable sleep position. Still, every time I close my eyes, my mind is thinking of Raka. I glanced at the clock on the wall. It was midnight, and Raka didn't come home at all. "Arghhhh, what can I do here. no musical instruments, no my novels. I am really bored."

I turned on the tv and just left the volume on. in comparison, I opened the window curtains and sat on a cosy sofa located on the edge of the window with wide glass. The night city view washed my eyes. "What is Raka doing at this time, did he go to meet his lover?" my mind fantasizes about negative things.

I stayed up all night until I got up late. Raka was still not there even though I woke up quite late. After tidying up, I ventured downstairs. Jane greeted me "are you okay? why did you just come down?" asked Jane. I feel guilty "I'm sorry. I had trouble sleeping last night, "I said with excuses.

"Mr. Raka left this morning, he only came home for a while then went straight to work. He left a note for you, have you read it?" asked Jane. I shook my head "what note? I do not know. I'll be back to check it out. Oh where are the others? "I asked. I felt very lonely at home.

"They have done their activities, you can look at that note first. It's on the table near the common room." Jane lowered her head in salute and then walked away. I hurried back upstairs and looked for the notes Jane forced.

I felt relieved when I managed to find the note. I took it and began to read the contents of the notice. "What?" I said I didn't accept it when I read the title of the statement. 'The conditions and duties of a shadow wife are at the same time. If not followed, penalties will apply '. That's the head of the note. my whole body suddenly stiffe
