MADISON’S POV
I wait for Alice who arrives after an hour or so.
She sits down on one of the couches in the living room while I sit opposite her.
“ What happened to your face? ” That’s the first question she asks from me.
I blink at her. Should I tell her? I wonder, but then…why should I tell her anything?
“ Nothing.” I inhale sharply. “ What do you want to tell me? ”
She realises I don’t want to tell her anything about myself so she presses her lips in a thin line and gives up on asking me stupid ass questions.
“ I know you won’t believe me but… ” she starts when I cut her off.
“ If you think I won’t believe you, then don’t bother telling me whatever you want to say. ” I shrug my shoulders nonchalantly.
