   Colton felt silly, standing outside of Alicia's door. It had been weeks since their fight. He knew he shouldn't be here. He told her himself they would never be anything more than master and slave, but at the time, he didn't believe it. She was right, and he was just too afraid to admit it. The time apart had been hell. All he could hope was that she'd forgive him. She already had his heart; she just didn't know it yet.

   His knuckle hit the door. The thumping of his heart blocked out the sound of the tapping on the door. He still had her key, and he didn't want to use it; he'd hoped she would open the door willingly.
