Chapter 2: You're Back

Cade's POV

"What do you mean by you are still searching for her?", My father or say the King yelled in anger when he heard that I was still searching for my bride which he chose for me years back.

"It's not my fault if I couldn't find her, father.", I answered back, glaring at him. "You were the one who chose my bride without asking my suggestion on it. And instead of picking someone powerful, you picked a weakling, a human.", I added in a disgusting tone. I have met with my bride just once and was surprised at my father's choice when I realized that the bride which he had marked as mine was a mere human. I am the fucking prince of the Spirit world and need a strong and powerful bride by my side to rule on my world, not some random mortal.

"I...I had met her mother and had also seen the great strength of her father that's why I assumed their daughter will also be as powerful as they were. But I was wrong. I was so wrong. That's why I wanted to correct my mistake by killing that human which is a lot easier compare to searching her and then rejecting her.", My father said, which acted as fuel to my anger.

.

'Because of his stupidity, he chose the wrong girl as my bride, and then he wanted to take shortcuts to cut the bond by killing an innocent soul. No, this was not happening.', I thought. "Like I said before, neither I want to kill her nor will let anyone kill her. I will undo the mistake which you did years back.", I retorted calmly with my eyes lock in a challenging way toward him. I am the only one who could stare at him like this because he knows I am more powerful than him.

In our spirit world, the first child is always more powerful than the father. So in that way, years later, my first child will be more powerful than me.

My father kept glaring at me for a while before leaving my room like a storm. Sighed, I started to reach her again, but she never responds. Though I hate the fact that she was a human, but I couldn't change the fact that I couldn't help myself from thinking about her. Maybe this was because of the bond which my father created when she was born.

.

I came out of my tree and looked at the world outside it. I still remembered her climbing on it when she was young. When I realized that she was a human, I wanted her to fall down from the branch and die but I couldn't help myself from saving her. I knew exactly she was my other half when I saw her tiny figure. I wondered 'Did she remember that incident? Did she remember my presence?'

I thought to reject her the next day but the other day, I had to leave because of some urgent work and by the time I returned, she was gone. I couldn't sense her near me anymore.

I knew she was still alive because of our bond, but she was too far from me to reach her.

I always try to use the wind to call her but it was of no use. I had to find her before my father or his minions could reach her because if they did. They would kill her to break the bond and after that only, my new bride could be chosen.

I hit the branch of the tree angrily when the thought of someone hurting my bride came into my mind.

I couldn't let him kill her.

Andrella's POV

Andy

I gasped and blinked my eyes several times and found myself at the airport. I had to catch the flight to Paris, my next holiday destination. Since mom and dada wanted me to explore the world. But my eyes widened in shock when I looked at the time.

Damn it, I missed my flight.

.

I quickly collected my stuff and checked the next flight to Paris. 'Shit, how can I sleep here? Mom is going to scold me for this.', I thought and mentally slapped myself for this stupidity.

I thought to inform about it to dada. Once he has the phone in the whole house.

Why?

Well, that's because of two reasons; one, there is a poor network in the forest area and second, they can use mind links to connect with one another in case of emergency.

That voice...again.

Ahhh...I cleaned my mind before calling my father. I was about to call dad when my phone started ringing, displaying his name on the screen. I received the call and before I would have explained him, he said something heartbreaking.

"Andy...Thank god. You didn't board on the flight.", He said or more like talked to himself.

"What happened, dada? You sound tensed.", I pointed out.

.

"Your grandpa.", He paused and took a deep breath while I kept silently waiting for him to continue what he had started. "is no more, Princess."

.

"What?", I shouted, shocked by the news. My grandpa was my second superhero after dada. I used to keep visiting with lots of chocolate at my hostel. We had met last month only and till then he was perfectly fine. I mean, except for his growing age. The worst part of growing young is that your parents and grandparents start getting old.

.

"I will be there, soon.", I said. I knew that I was forbidden to go there or anywhere near the forest but not this time.

.

"But..."

.

"No, dada. He was my grandpa. I will be coming there for sure. Either I will use human's transports to come there or you will use your teleportation powers.", I cried.

.

"Ssshhhh....don't cry. Just go to some secluded corner and imagine everything near you.", My father said and I did the same by closing my eyes until I felt my father's presence near me. A lone tear escaped my eyes to which he wiped it gently. "We will be there in the next minute. Stop crying, princess."

"Hmm", I nodded and within a blink of a few seconds, I was at my home.
