Chapter 11: Fever

Andrella's POV

I wanted to hide for the things which I did last night. I was feeling so embarrassed about that. Moreover, I was cursing myself for sleeping.

This morning when I woke up, I found myself on my bed, sleeping peacefully under my warm blanket and Becca was looking at me with concern.

Sighed, I started combing my hair thinking about Becca's words which she told me in the morning once I was awake.

An hour Before

"Thank Moon Goddess! You are awake.", She sighed in relief. "We all were really worried for you, you know. When you didn't show up at palace by evening.", 

.

"What was there to get worried for? I was hanging out with Cade and everyone about that, right?", I explained but observing her face I knew something else was eating her up. "Say it."

.

"Well, once you left with Alpha Cade, we all started digging about him and his Red Moon Pack, to know more about him if he turns out to be your mate then. But it was surprising to know that no one had heard the name of Red Moon Pack and the name of Alpha Cade Black.", She said and I gave all my attention to her.

"And how's that possible?", I asked quickly.

.

"I am not sure now. Maybe this could be the reason that there is no such Alpha or no such pack in real.", She reasoned out. "OR maybe they are a new pack about which people don't have much knowledge. That's why brothers have decided to keep you away from him until mom and dada returns because they think that Alpha Cade might end up hurting you or by killing you or by using you against our parents."

.

"What am I? A kid of 5 years?", I muttered, narrowing my eyes. "If Cade had done something bad with me then he would have done that yesterday itself.", I added by not going into details. I would share it with mom once she would be here.

"So, you will go against them?", She asked nervously.

.

"I don't want to go against them, Becca. I know they care for me but they can't boss me around.", I answered. I wanted to say share my plan to go to meet Grandpa in the spirit world tonight with Cade but I wouldn't because she would also ask me to take her with us and I didn't want to risk her life in that world.

At Present

'I hope Cade would have not changed his mind about taking me to the spirit world after whatever happened last night. Since I slept last night, I wanted to go there tonight.', I thought and left my room. I was trying to recall what happened between Cade and me after that. I couldn't remember anything.

.

How did he bring me here?

Did he make me wear my clothes? Because I didn't remember doing that and since Becca didn't mention anything about my cloth I believe I was in my clothes.

.

I reached near Cade's room and knocked on the door to talk to him about last night. "Come in", I heard Cade's voice and entered his room. He was discussing something with his Beta, Barrett. He looked at me and I knew my cheeks were already red by thinking what happened between us!

.

"It's good to see you, Annie. Yesterday you were running a high fever because of my stupidity of jumping in the waterfall. I hope you are doing fine, now.", He asked in concern but didn't know why that concern didn't reach his eyes. I couldn't recall the fact that I had a fever yesterday. I saw Barrett leaving the room and I was thankful he did because I had to talk about Cade in private.

"What else had happened last night?", I asked narrowing my eyes.

.

"Nothing. What else will happen between us.", He laughed nervously but I didn't find it funny at all. I was having a hard time digesting the fact that whatever happened between us was just a dream or my imagination.
