"All the redundancy packages concluded?" I hear Anthony ask.

Slowly, I open my eyes.

He's sitting on the couch in the bedroom, his phone pressed against his ear.

"And the cost?..." He whistles between his teeth. "Sheesh...that was one expensive mistake..."

I sit up, rubbing my eyes with the back of my index.

"And Conner?...Have Piper send me the schematics. Conner said he'd cracked the problem..." He finally notices me, he sends me a small tight-lipped smile of acknowledgement which I roll my eyes at.

"There's a plot of land here that I'm interested in but I want to see what Maldives will offer if we move in....Yeah, get Mark to call..." he wanders out of the bedroom. I assume it's so I can no longer hear his conversation.
