BEFORE THE DIVORCE....

Alice Montero sighed deeply as she closed her journal,slipped her pen into her faded jeans pocket and headed out for the door.

Eyes conered and lips murmured as she walked towards her car which wasn't knew to her since her engagement to Landon Mikaelson was finally leaked.

She made a little snort as she tried igniting the car's engine which was proving stubborn and when it wouldn't make an effort she got out.

‘F**k it!'.A sound of irritation escaped her lips as she grabbed a pack of cigarettes and took one out of the box.

She was pretty sure the next headlines on the gossip blogs would be about how she was unfit to be Landon's future wife cause of her addiction to smoking.

But she wasn't really addicted,she thought.She smoked only when she was frustrated and ever since she agreed to being Landon Mikaelson's wife frustration had been her companion.

‘You know there's a garage two blocks away from here'.An emo-looking teenage boy offered as he pointed towards the u-turn.

‘Nah I'll just call someone to come pick me—

‘I could fix your car here and right now if you want?? You know I'm in need of cash and you're Landon Mikaelson's wife to be so...'.His voice trailed off and she instantly knew what he was up to.

She was a millionaire herself but people didn't know that.Her relationship with Landon was more of like an arrangement than an actual love thing but she was happy with it anyway of at least she thought she was.

He was her highschool crush.Her family has been friends with his for years and he was also her brother's best friend which made it a little bit more appealing when the proposal was first dropped.

Although his attitude towards her was a little stand-offish she wasn't really bothered.

I mean who wouldn't want to marry an highschool crush?.

‘Okay then,go ahead and fix the car and then I'll pay'.She finally said after a moment of gathering her thoughts.

In a few days she was going to be married and that was something to be looking forward to,she thought as she took another puff of smoke.

‘You know you look like a cupcake man in that tuxedo'.Catherine Mikaelson, Landon's elder sister muttered as she walked into her brother's dressing room.

Tall,defined cheekbones and the signature shiny glossed black Mikaelson hair she was a token of sheer beauty.

Landon was a little bit more blonde on the roots but he had the Mikaelson build from his broad and wide shoulders to his lean and lanky waist,and that mean man look on his face.

‘I look more like a liquorice than a cupcake man,Jerry please take this off me'.He replied and the designer took off the suit piece by piece.

‘So how are you holding up?'.Catherine asked.

‘Huh?'.

‘I mean how are you holding up and how is Alice by the way?'.

‘I am fine and Alice is...Alice is fine too I guess'.He grunted and poured her a glass of Brandy.

‘It's 3pm.You know i hate drinking Lan but that's not what I'm bothered about'.She snapped and his brows perked up.

‘Then what are you bothered about dear sister?'.

‘It's you Lan! Alice is a very good person and I don't want you to hurt—

‘Might I remind you that this marriage isn't one of love or commitment Catherine! it's an arranged marriage and more of like a business proposal incase Dad didn't fill you in on the details'.He snapped back and flickered his wrists as soon as he spotted an ant.

‘Dad wants you to marry Alice because you've known each other for years Lan! And this is why I'm worried because you never care for anything or anyone apart from the business'.Catherine stated and he rolled his eyes to the other direction.

He loved his sister no doubt but sometimes he just wished she was never even born for she was a stark meddler in other people's affairs.

’Look here Cathy,the M&M industry has been thriving for years due to our family's bond with each other and I have a plan which Alice doesn't know about—No one knows about'.He said.

‘What plan?'.Catherine asked.

‘After the wedding and the business deal is solidified I'll make a deal with Alice.After a year or two years in fact we'll go our separate ways and everybody's happy'.He replied and she scoffed loudly.

Her brother would never learn.
