“Just look at them sitting there all high and mighty,”  I say.

“I know.  They think they are so special and so important.”  My friend says.

The two of us were sitting there watching the gods.  They were all there drinking, eating, and relaxing as if nothing could touch them.  They are so fucking self-absorbed and consider themselves above everyone else.  It’s time that someone brought them down a few notches.  Now to figure out how to bring them down.  I looked at my friend, and I knew I couldn’t trust her with the idea brewing in my head.  I needed people that thought like me.  The twelve main gods had been in power now for 2000 years, and in that time, they had grown so arrogant.  They thought nothing could bring them down.  Well, I have an idea that has been running through my head now for a few years.  I needed to get to my mate, but that was tricky.  See, I am an angel, and my mate is a demon.  I stand up and decide that watching them is just pissing me off even more.

That night I sneak out and down to meet Asmoday.  We found each other 100 years ago and have been together in secret ever since.  We'll meet at one of our usual spots.  It pisses me off that we can’t openly be together.  Hopefully, with this plan, that will change.

“Hello, my dear,”  I tell him.

“Hello to you too gorgeous.”  He replies.

We spent the next few hours wrapped up in each other.  The man is a beast in bed.  As we lay there, I decided to present my plan to him and see what he thought about bringing down the gods.

“I have a plan.  What if we were able to get a sample of each of the main twelve gods, DNA, and create a pure god to overpower the rest.  We could manipulate it to be a girl so we could get offspring from her and basically control everything.”  I tell him.

He lays there for a bit before turning to me and giving me a kiss.  I am pretty sure that means he likes my idea. When he pulls away, he has a huge smile on his handsome face.

“That is a brilliant idea. I have a few people that would be more than willing to help with this plan.  I also know of a powerful witch/vampire hybrid that can help mix all of their DNA together.”  He replies.

“Perfect.  Why don’t you meet with your people and I will start observing the easiest way to acquire each of their DNA.”  I tell him.

We had made our plan, and we would see it through. I knew this plan was going to be dangerous, and I knew that we could easily end up dead.  I knew that Asmoday was friends with three humans that had wanted to be turned into werebears by Athena.  Yeah, all those gods had created many creatures over the last 2000 years.  Both Athena and Aphrodite had created were creatures.  Part human, part beast.  The human was able to shift into an animal.  They had created all sorts of humans that could shift into wolves, bears, numerous species of big cats, foxes, and many other animals.  Athena also created dragons.  Zeus, Poseidon, and Hades had begun a competition to see who could create the most creatures.  Hades had created vampires (humans that were dead but living), phoenixes, and other weird beasts associated with the underworld.  Zeus had also created his own version of vampires, witches, the fae, and other creatures as well.  He and Hades seem to have a war going on, or, as I considered, it seems to be who has the bigger dick competition.  Poseidon had created mermaids.  He didn’t seem to be that interested in creating creatures like the rest of them.  I already knew which god I was going to be pregnant with our creation.  I wanted Aphrodite, as she was known for having girls, and I knew she was our best bet for creating a girl child we could control.

“Now to collect my samples,”  I mumble to myself.

I knew I wouldn’t be able to get close enough, but I knew two people that would.  I decided to contact them and have them meet with the rest of us.  They would be instrumental in our plan.  They hated the gods as much as we did, and I knew it would take very little convincing to recruit them.  I knew contacting them was going to be difficult.  They tended to travel a lot.  They never stayed in one location for more than a week.

The next day I let it be known to a few of our friends that I needed to talk to them.  I figured this was the fastest way to track them down.  It still took me three days before I heard from them.

“We were told that you were looking for us,” Penthesilea says.

“Fuck, you scared the shit out of me,”  I tell her.

“Sorry, we thought you heard us come in,”  Phlegyas adds.

“No I didn’t, but I am glad you came,”  I say.

The three of us sit in the house's main room.  They asked why I was looking for them.  I tell them that Asmoday and I are fed up with the gods and want to bring them down.  I watched as matching smiles spread across their faces.  I explained our plan and what we needed to do.  I told them that we had already paid Shade to help us.

“We need you two because you can move around up there without suspicion,”  I explain.

“I like this plan.  Which god are we going to get pregnant?”  Penthesilea asks.

“We are going to target Aphrodite since she is famous for having girls,”  I reply.

“Good choice.  That way we can control the child.  Hell maybe even breed with her.”  Phlegyas states.

The three of us sat there and talked more about our little plan.  I knew they were fully in and the fact that they were both the offspring of Ares made it even better.  They hated him and the rest of the gods with a passion.  Especially Penthesilea, and how Ares treated her as if she didn’t even exist.  He didn’t treat Phlegyas much better.  I knew that we would be able to get the samples we needed without raising suspicion.  This plan could not fail.  We need some leverage against them.  Some sort of weapon.  What better weapon than creating one of their own that they can’t defeat?

I would love to see book 3 talk about other mates that we didn’t get to see in book 1. Maybe more on the sister cousin and the children’s teenage years.

I think you should skip ahead but not too far. I also think you should talk about other mates matched as well.
