Asmoday

Asmoday

It was a week later when we all finally were able to get together for this meeting.  While the gods didn’t pay close attention to us, I knew that if they saw all of us meeting together, it would raise suspicion.  I told everyone to leave from a different location and at a different time so that it wouldn’t be obvious.  When I got there, Vepar was already there.  I walked up to her and kissed her cheek.

“Well isn’t that sweet?”  I hear a deep voice say.

I turned around to find Damian, Marshall, and Ian standing there.  I have known these three for a few years now.  In fact, they work for me.  After all the gods created all their damn creatures, they decided to keep what they call the supernatural world and humans separate.  Most supernatural creatures can walk among humans, but most humans have no idea they exist.  The few that do want to own the rarest and strange of the supernatural creatures.  Even some of the more powerful supernatural creatures want to own the rarer ones.  So I got into the business of kidnapping exotic and rare supernatural creatures to sell.  It has made me a ton of money.

“You three can sit your asses down.  We are waiting for three more people to show.”  I tell them.

Damian just smirks at me, and I introduce them to Vepar.  I can tell she is unsure about them.  The two of us take a seat and wait for the others to arrive.  It is fifteen minutes later when there is a knock on the door.  I open it, and there stands Penthesilea, Phlegyas, and the witch known as Shade.  No one knows her true identity.  She is dressed in all black, so her pale skin shines in the light. They take a seat, and we start the meeting.  Vepar lays out her plan, and the room is quiet when she is finished.

“We can get all the samples you need,” Phlegyas says.

“Yes, it will be easy for us,”  Penthesilea adds.

“I know a spell that can combine all of the samples together.  I have to warn you that instilling that much power into one being can be extremely dangerous.”  Shade tells us.

“I understand but this needs to be done.  They have been in power for too long and it needs to end.”  I tell her.

We all agreed and kept discussing the fine details of the plan.  Something about what Shade says keeps gnawing at the back of my mind.  Too much power for one.  I shake my head and clear that thought.  This is a sound plan, and I know it will work.  We had decided that Penthesilea and Phlegyas would slowly get a sample from each god over the next two weeks.  We didn’t want to raise suspicion, so we told them to take their time.  They agreed that they would take their time and get each sample a few days apart to keep it under the radar. None of us knew at the time that we weren’t the only ones listening to your plans.  We also didn’t know that the other people that were listening in on our plans had devised a plan of their own.

The next day I tracked down three people I knew could help.  I knew the general area they were in since I was the one that had sent them there.  They helped me with my business.  I have been capturing and selling rare or special supernatural creatures for a while now.  I got into it by accident.  I had captured a Fae, and a king from another land found out and offered me a huge amount of money for her.  I gladly turned her over for the money.  After that, others, both human and supernatural, started coming asking if I had or could capture creatures they wanted.  That was the start of my business.

“We will have it by tonight,”  Damian says.

“That is great, but not why I am here,”  I tell him.

“Well, what brings you to our little corner?”  Ian asks.

I start telling them about the plan and what we need.  The three of them jump right in and agree to help in any way possible.  Damian, Marshall, and Ian are three werebears that I have known for several years now.  I also recruited them to help me capture creatures.  I don’t use them that often only if I need some muscle.  The three of them have no issue capturing the stronger creatures.  They can also scent out the ones in hiding.  They are excellent trackers.  I can tell they are itching to get revenge.  Athena created some of the werebears.  Damian, Marshall, and Ian are some of her first creations.

“Maybe once that child is born she will have the power to give us our bears back,”  Ian says.

“Oh, she will have the power don’t worry,” I tell them.

I was shocked when it happened.  These three gave me the other three first created were bears to sell.  I was floored but I took them, and hell, I made a shit ton of money.  The only issue was that the person I sold them to ended up being a hunter, and he killed them.  Athena found out and basically took their bears away.  Well, the bears are dormant inside their bodies.  They are still strong as hell and have all the senses of a bear but are not able to contact or shift into their bears.

“I will have that child kill Athena as well.  That bitch deserves to die.”  Damian growls out.

“With the power that this child holds that will be possible,”  I tell him.

I tell them to meet us in a few days to talk with the others so that we can confirm the plan and so they can meet the others.  I know that Vepar is bringing Penthesilea and Phlegyas.  I honestly don’t like or trust those two at all.  I would rather not get them involved, but they are the only way in, and that won’t raise suspicion.  I just hope they don’t fuck up the plan.
