Epilogue

The day begins like any other. The castle is now our permanent abode. Every day hasn’t been filled with roses and peaches. There has been a number of ugly attempts of invasion, and there have been attempts at assassination, but somehow we have persevered.

I make my way to my office where I know a tonne of paperwork will be waiting. But I sense my mate’s presence instead as I approach my office. As expected, he sits on one of the vacant chairs, flipping through a file.

“I thought you needed to leave for another Pack/Nocturnal meeting.” I walk over to him and lean down to kiss him nonetheless. He abandons the file in favour of pulling me on his lap. I loop my arms around his neck and nip his bottom lip.

“I did, but the alpha and the luna also want you to be present,” he murmurs against my lips.
