Gabrielle
"I can't believe what you're telling me sweetie. That stupid child has the guts to go work for the enemy and go against her father's company? I thought she said she loves her father." My mom scoffs angrily after I'd told her about Ella's new job.
"That's right mom. That insignificant no good human being had the guts to actually challenge me mom, she had the audacity to try to be me but mommy dearest mark my words, I'm not gonna let her take my spotlight. Ever!" I assure her and she smiles in satisfaction.
If you're wondering why I'm so against Ella's success, it's simply because I hate her. I hate her like I have never hated anyone.
She and my father are the people I detest the most in my life and fortunately, one of them is six feet under.
"If Ella thinks she can outshine me mom, I'll kill her because the only way she can succeed in this life is over my dead body." I spit out angrily, feeling the urge to strangle my sister with my bare hands.
"What are you thinking of doing Elle?" My mom asks sullenly and I smile slyly.
"I'm thinking of a way to destroy Ella of course but first I need to pay her a visit, I mean it's been a while since I saw my little sister and I have really missed trampling all over her self esteem." I reply calmly, feeling a bit excited to see my sister for the first time.
****"Good morning miss, how may I help you?" The receptionist at 'AT' asks politely.
"I'm here to see someone, she works here." I respond calmly and she stares at me like I'd lost my marbles.
"What do you mean by you're here to someone who works here? Don't you work here?" She asks and after a few long seconds, I realise what she's talking about.
"I know what you mean miss but you're mistaken. I'm not the one that works here it's my twin sister." I clarify quickly.
"Oh, so Ella has a twin and she never mentioned you. You two look so identical, you're literally the same person." She chirps and I scowl.
"Could you please direct me to her office?" I change the subject to avoid loosing my cool.
"My apologies miss but I can't do that, only staffs are allowed to go beyond the waiting room but I can call her down if it's important." She explains and I agree to her second option.

Gabriella
"Thanks again Fabian." I smile cheerfully at Fabian, who although had a stern expression was far from angry with me. He shut me off for a while but that didn't last long since he wasn't the type to hold a grudge.
"Hey Gabriella, you have a call from the reception." Tanya, my coworker/friend, informs me and I immediately run to my table to take the call.
"Hey Shannon, what can I do for you?" I ask the ever bubbly and talkative Shannon, who I might consider as a friend the day she quits being a gossip.
"Sorry to disturb you Gabriella but someone's here to see you, she says it's important." She replies and I wonder who it is cause I could already guess it was a woman and I literally have no female friends except my colleagues.
"Did she give you a name?" I ask.
"Yes, she's your twin sister Gabrielle." She informs me and I deadpan.
The only reason Elle would ever come here is to either taunt me or to check how badly I'm suffering so she could make it worse.
"Tell her I'll be down in a minute." I reply calmly before dropping the call.
"What in the world of Jupiter does she want from me now?" I ask myself out loud, feeling anxious and nervous at the same time. I honestly hope she doesn't cause me any trouble.
~~~~
"Hey lil sis." Elle chirps happily the moment she sees me come out of the elevator and what made it more awkward, was that she hugged me. She hugged me for the first time in twenty six years.
"Are you okay Elle?" I ask slowly, wondering if she had finally lost her marbles.
"Yes, of course I'm okay. I'm better than ever sis but let's go to the cafe opposite and we'll talk more there." She replies smiling at me mad I swear, I felt a cold shiver run down my spine.This sneaky bitch is up to something cause I'm not buying this dumb act.
"Fine but stop smiling like that, it makes you look older than you actually are." I whisper calmly and she sticks her tongue out childishly and mouths 'whatever'.
"Thank you Shannon." I say with a small smile at the receptionist, who has been watching us attentively.
"You're welcome Gaby. Nice to meet you second Gaby." She chuckles loudly but immediately stops, when we both sneer at her.
"It's Ella and Elle miss." Elle snaps harshly and walks away and I tag along.
****
"You can drop the act now Elle, why are here?" I get straight to the point as soon as we get to the cafe.
"Relax lil sis, let me order first." She replies and true to her word, she actually places her order.
"We're twin sisters you dummy. Stop calling me lil sis." I point out the obvious, she scoffs.
"Yes we are, but I am 19 minutes and ten seconds older than you which makes me fully in my right to call you lil sis." She states childishly and I keep quiet.
About three minutes later, the waiter brings her cup of coffee and since I already felt desperate and uncomfortable, I had to snap.
"Now can you talk!" I hiss snappily and the bitch finally dropped the act.
"Don't talk to me like that you fool! I obviously didn't come here to congratulate on your new job." She states the obvious but to be honest, it kinda hurt since a part of me wished she'd be happy for me.
"So what is it you want?" I ask dryly.
"I want you to resign!" She says it out boldly and I stare at her in awe.
"What did you just say?" I ask again, hoping I heard wrong.
"I said quit your job." She repeats herself again confidently."Are you crazy Elle? Are you demented or something?" I ask furiously, fighting hard to surpress my anger.
"You're the only one crazy here Ella. You're crazy if you think I'm gonna let you succeed in taking my spotlight, you envious good for nothing." She spits out and surpressing my anger was no longer an option.
"You can go straight to hell Elle!" I snap at her, fuming.
"Oh that's where you'll be lil sis, if you don't do as I asked and look for another profession. I'll mop the floor with you so badly, you'll end up killing yourself." She threatens and I laugh, a short dry laugh that most definitely lacked humor.
"Are you that insecure Elle? So much so, you took the time to come to my workplace to threaten me just because you're scared I'll overshadow you." I fire back, feeling proud of my comeback.
"You think I am insecure? Says the girl who can't even defend herself. The girl who went from grace to grass and the idiot, who's trying to copy her sister in every way. Listen carefully Gabriella, if you dare, I repeat, if you dare to challenge me, I'll put you six feet under without any remorse so be warned baby sis cause I'm not playing around. See you never I hope." She threaten, gets up and when she was about to walk away I stop her.
"I won't stop until I make your worst nightmares become a reality Elle. I may not have had those thoughts before but right now, I'm considering bringing you down so you know just how it feels to be in my shoes." I say to her before getting up and walking out, leaving her obviously shocked and furious.
Gabriella It's been two weeks since Elle showed her face here and I honestly can't explain how happy I am that she's off my back, it may not be permanently but at least I don't have to deal with her suffocating remarks."Fabian, do you have any idea why the director asked for us?" I ask nervously, hoping that my recent sketch had maybe gotten to him and he approved them or at least some good news."So you don't even know?" He asks, making me wonder what exactly I needed to know."Duh silly, I just said so " I reply and If my reply was rude, screw it cause his facial expression was rude first. "I thought you've worked in the fashion industry before?" He asks, and I could smell the sarcasm in that question, what hell does he know, idiot!"Just get to the point Fabian!" I snap at him."Fine, miss clueless. Eliana Guitarra is coming to New York and she put out a challenge for the best fas
Gabrielle "I'm on my way mom, I'm almost there." I reply in a hurry, before hanging up in frustration.I've been driving for almost two hours just to finally meet the man my mom hasn't stop talking about and according to her, he's the co-judge for Eliana Guitarra's fashion challenge which makes him the second in command after Eliana and apparently a good friend of my mother.I arrive at the hotel address given to me by my mom who had been the mastermind behind this meeting. I drop my keys with the valet not even bothering to look around since I was already running late and I don't plan on squandering this opportunity for anything."Hey mom, I just arrived but I don't know the room number." I say to my mom as soon as she picks up and she tells me the room number and also explains what I should and should not do."Okay, I get it mom, thanks." I reply her and hang up before heading to the reception.&n
Third person pov Gabrielle and Gabriella arrive at the same time with Gabrielle throwing looks of disdain at her sister but Gabriella just chooses to ignore her and kept her hands clinged to Martin, who happily paraded around with a beautifully dressed Gabriella. He could not remember the last time his friend had put so much effort in looking good and he felt proud to be her date for the night.Fabian alongside his girlfriend, Mia, approach Gabriella and Fabian doesn't hide his flirtatious comments on seeing how his co worker looked."Jesus Ella, are you trying to seduce me or what?" He says harmlessly, engulfing her in a hug that infuriated Mia but she keeps her cool and pretends to admire Ella although she couldn't stand the sight of her. She kept counting the seconds he held her in a hug, literally pulling him off her when it exceeded ten seconds, earning a curious stare from both Martin and E
Gabrielle"I can't believe it mom. How the fuck did I miss this!" I yell angrily, more at myself than at my mom who looked a little terrified at my outburst. "Do you think they're actually going out?" She asks and I scrunch my face in disgust."God forbid mother!" I forbid sharply, feeling completely disgusted with the idea of Ella and that Liam guy dating. That's definitely a bad combo. I would not have given a crap about them dating if I didn't just find out whose son he was and knowing that fact, I can't allow such a disastrous relationship to blossom. Liam Helton was literally gold in the fashion industry and of all the women he had to cross paths with, it had to be my dumb sister. Is God finally showing his true colours."How can you be so sure? Something could be cooking up between them." My mom voices out worriedly."If they were an item mom, I would be the first t
Gabrielle. "How did things go with Sandler?" My mom asks and I give a tight smile in response, hoping she would just get the message that I didn't want to talk about it but as should be expected, she wanted details."You need to learn to trust me Gabrielle." She hisses and I frown. "Come on mom, if I don't trust you, who am I gonna trust? Besides I'm sure you can already guess what went down between that old bastard and I. I asked him to screw Ella over, he agreed but of course, sex is his payment." I give a quick explanation and she sighs."I really don't get your obsession with screwing Ella over. I thought you'd want her where she is so you can show her you're the better twin." She answers back, earning a bitter chuckle from me. "Mom, let's face it, if Ella and I stood in the same position here in this industry, it would take me years to achieve what Ella would achieve in months. You and I know, I'm not the
Two weeks later. Gabriella. I lazily scroll through my phone and lucky for me, Martin wasn't too busy to keep me entertained with goofy pictures of himself, showing off his killer smile and his cheekbones that I'm definitely jealous of. The cafe wasn't too busy in the evening which meant less work for me and same pay and fortunately my shift was ending in less than an hour. Someone walks in and I drop my phone very quickly almost smashing it to attend to the supposed customer only to realize it wasn't just any customer, it was Gabrielle dressed in a formal dress with a small smile on her face. She honestly looked drained. "Gabrielle? What are you doing here?" I ask as I cross over towards her and she pulls me in for a quick hug and when I say quick, I mean like 1.2seconds which unfortunately is the longest genuine hug I've ever gotten from her, but at l
Fourteen years earlier...Gabriella We arrive in school and I sigh in frustration since everyday in school is always torture for me. I really hate it when teachers and parents tell us kids that school is fun when it's nothing but a scam. To me, school just serves as a daily reminder of how sad and lonely my life is. It's like a painful way life helps me reuse and recycle my sadness, if you know what I mean.Gabrielle struts in sassily in her usual bossy manner and she is quickly joined by those snakes she calls her friends, Mia, Alicia and Tracy. The four of them together are the reason I hate school. Four psychopathic children roaming around a supposedly sane environment and they claim school is safe place. Liars!"Hey looser, can you move to the other side? I don't want people staring at us at the same time. It's disgraceful!" Elle taunts and as usual her dumb friends laugh like she'd just said the world's funniest
Gabriella."Gabriella come on, you're taking forever!" Martin yells for the umpteenth time but I ignore him again, still trying to round up with my makeup.He was the one who said I should look pretty so he better deal with the consequences. "I'm coming in!" I hear him holler but I'm quick to lock the door so he can't get in, hopefully I can frustrate him enough till he changes his mind about taking me with him. My head doesn't think straight when too many people are around and I'm nervous as it is."Gabriella, you forgot that this is my house and I have the spare key to your room." He reminds me and I hiss."You also forget that you're such a messy animal, it'd take you hours to actually find them." I reply and he shuts up, finally giving up on trying to intimidate me.I peep through the door to see a distraught Martin furiously typing away on his phone."Who ar
