Goodbye

“Goodbye”.

Said a pair of trembling lips on the verge of cracking their voice, served by pearls leaving the orbs amidst the pair of eyes so red that could pour blood instead of those crystal pearls, if possible. All those visions could earn was another pair of orbs, agonizing a stare so warm as that of a sauna.

Two physiques standing a couple of feet apart, unswerving. But only if one could peep inside those iron seeming towers, it was nothing more than a vapid, abandoned arrangement of bones which once was a home of lively souls. No matter how much desire those figures were carrying for the last touch, there was something which might be called invisible to others, but was so opaque to these visions, standing firmly, forbidding their last desire to come true. No matter how willing they were to feel each other, some invisible manacles were there, holding both of them apart.

The sky was dark but still belonged to the morning, as it was an early hour striking 3 am on the time measuring tool. A deafening silence was filling the vacuum of that busy road, carrying no one else than those two bodies, which might be each other’s, but was no more than a stranger to it. No car could be seen passing by, as if the road has blocked itself to give time to these strangers crying their hearts out inside, but have nothing to utter outside, even if it is a sob. Though the illuminating lights were so bright, ready to compete with the sun, the world of these souls carried the colour of the sky sitting above those lights, so far that not even a ray of these powerful machines could reach its darkness. The whole world was sleeping in peace, getting charged for another day. But to these two, no pill could make those red eyes sleep, no bed could bring those restless souls to peace. Every passing second was wracking these souls more than the coming minute. Those eyes were drowned into each other so much that no exit could be seen. But time wished something else. After minutes of standing still with that heavy heart, finally, the feet decided to make a move against their will. The distance between the two bodies was now increasing with every passing second and soon enough both the forms hit their cars which led them here.

It was now the actual time to bring that word said before, into existence. It was the time to finally say goodbye to those beautiful, deep orbs of the other. Again, the eyes were not letting any other object enter in between their view, and again, the hands lured those orbs to another view which was now containing the car. Both of their visions were now again filled with pearls ready to leave those eyes anytime. But this time none of them was in the eagerness to let those crystals leave their orbs, in the fear of losing that warmth of the view they just had; containing the mesmerizing face of the other.

After a couple of seconds, putting all of their thoughts aside, filling all of their minds with the sweet memories they just lived, both opened the door, one-after-another, and slipped themselves inside, on the driver seat of the cars; facing back sides of each other.

Soon enough the deafening silence was echoed by the sounds of the engine getting started. No one was strong enough to look at the other leaving. So, both decided to focus on the road ahead and within seconds, both the cars picked up their respective speeds and rushed at an angle of 180 degrees.

That night, the winds were blowing in a way so ferocious, as if they were in the mood of protesting against nature. Something was happening, which nature itself was not happy with.

The winds were dry but the visions of both of them were wet due to the rain of their memories.

With such a heavy rain of memories, it was impossible to put the eyes to their duty. So, hands automatically leaned in the front of them to make their job easy; soaking all the memories from the eyes to themselves and ultimately transferring them to the cloth covering their skin. Some drops made their way to the cloth through palms, some preferred to land on the cloth themselves but none wished to stay in those overfilling eyes. The distance which a minute ago was a couple of feet apart could be measured in meters now.

Although the eyes were drowning, the way ahead was visible. The path was all empty, but not for very long, and out of the blue, there came two giant vehicles, facing both the cars moving in opposite directions. Since the road was not so narrow to block the breadth of two vehicles moving together, there were no wrinkles of worry on either of the driver's faces and all were in their worlds.

But suddenly both the giant trucks decided to block the path of cars, and soon changed their minds from just blocking the cars, to the mood of crushing them under its massive tires. This shifting was just a matter of point seconds, and before the cars could change their directions, an ear-piercing sound of bang filled the surroundings followed by another bang.

Within a period of seconds, the tidy, empty road resembling the true beauty of the night, and carrying nothing more than two strangers with their vehicles, filled with sprinkles of wetness, from the overflowing tears they shed, was now bleeding. The levelled construction was now no longer even due to the pieces of glass and metal landing on it in a way so disorganized. The vehicles lost their forms, and the glass and metal which was adorning this machine’s beauty, bid their retirement, and now landed on different places, choosing their desired spots.

The clothes which were home to memories-seeming tears were now reflecting a shade of red. The bodies, already more than hurt from the goodbye, were now bleeding too. This was so sudden that even the tears did not get time to leave the eyes. Both the bodies residing in two upside-down cars were laying on a bed of shredded metals and glass.

The eyes which finally agreed to change their view after giving a very hard time, were now again lingering for the same sight. But what they saw after obeying their eyes, deteriorated the state of these souls more. Both saw their lives, which lived in each other, covered in blood.

Before seeing each other, their pain was just limited to wounds, making the bones wrapped in flash peep out. But after looking at each other, bleeding in those wounds, felt like their lives are bleeding. The only thing remaining after the partition was now happening. Both were standing on the edge of giving up their materialistic bodies, and the pursuing true beauty of aeonian love. Even though they were pursuing the eternal path, this was something they never thought of. Both were in unbearable pain, not because of the foreign pieces embedded in their body, but because of the pain the other would be feeling due to them. The pieces were dug so deep that even the throat was not able to utter a word. The farthest their throats could go was to leave a sob, that too not without accompanying blood, being spilled out. Only the eyes obeyed the rules of a loyal friend and poured oceans of pain in the form of tears. Since the bodies were already weak, from being a crying mess, after bleeding litres of blood it did not take much longer for these bodies to collapse, right in that crying position.
