Chapter 19: Trial Over! Lin Zoe Wins

All the eyes in the court were fixed on one person: -- Lin Zoe. Zhang You's family too was curious and were listening carefully, to see how much rubbish she could feed others with.

The judge gave out all his attention to her, as well as her lawyer. Shen Zi was supporting her with his eyes full of motivation and warmth. 

She nodded back to him. 

"My honor, your highness! If I'm here today, it is to testify against Miss Zhang You. With the help of my lawyer, I will tell you what happened and when you want it, my lawyer will give facts and evidence on what I will say. I hope there will be justice upheld to everyone here today." 

Everyone listened and stayed calm. 

" If I'm accusing someone, I may also have some facts. I may leave the first things to my lawyer," she said, sitting in a nearby seat. 

The lawyer stood up, holding some documents, and went in front of the rest of the court. 

"My honor, your highness the judge. As you may not know, before Miss Lin gets tangled up with Miss Zhang, there has an assassination attempt?"

"What!? An assassination attempt? How can it be?" the judge turned surprised.

Everyone shook out their heads and were shocked. They actually tried to murder Lin Zoe innocently without her knowledge. The lawyer took his phone and showed a photo to everyone in the court and the judge. 

"Here is the person who was hired to kill miss Lin. Please, your majesty, I will like your permission, to make him come between us in this court," he asked, courteously. 

"Yes, you may go ahead!"

The man who had once tried to murder Zoe and encountered a deadly meeting with Shen Zi, arrived at the court. He was only a testify but, his fact could help both Lin Zoe and the lawyer a lot, in addition to convincible facts and time.

As he gave a single glance to "Boss" Shen, he froze and then went away. The lawyer was bringing him to a speech pole near the judge without microphones, and made him stand there. 

"Ahem... Your highness the judge, here is the testifier for Miss Lin and Miss Zhang and I hope you can find fault to the one who merits." He said, getting back gently to the front seat.

The judge looked at him sternly and said;

"Swear to everyone here you are saying the truth and only the truth."  

"I swear!" he said 

The man was preparing to testify, he was stopped by the lawyer. He made a thumbs up and he nodded back, then went on. 

"I am innocent!" he started.

"Ho!" the crowd hoarsed their voices in shock. 

"Please! If I wanted to hit Miss Lin, it was because I was paid by miss Zhang." 

Everyone was shocked and the judge's eyes were even more knitted and furrowed. The man even through his discomfort continued.

"At that time, I only needed some money for my family. I was forced to accept her conditions and her terms. When I tried to knockout Miss Lin, I failed in harming her and then ran away without showing my face. Mr. Shen was beside and managed to trace me back. That's how he knew about who tried to kill Miss Lin." 

At this, the shock was dissimulating itself, through the whole courtroom. Even the judge couldn't believe a single word he said. More terribly, the Zhang family gave dark looks to Zhang You. It was as if she dug her own grave. 

In the end -- it will have been for nothing valuable, she did so. 

Lin Zoe was closer to her point --- the final verdict was yet to be said. The lawyer took note of the reactions and conclusions in her explanations, and the judge took note of the man's words. She smiled and had only one last thought. It was now time for: -- the facts. 

Lin Zoe, in her subliminal purple gown, stood up and took the place of the man in haste. The man was sitting beside the lawyer, who was by law, protecting him from accusations and names of all sort. 

Lin Zoe looked at the courtroom and swore; "I swear on behalf of everyone here and God the holy leader, I will tell the truth and only the truth." she said, all comfortable. Shen Zi was the only one amazed by her courage and outstandings. 

"As you may not know all, before the scandal, I was preparing myself to get to my interview. When I arrived, Miss Zhang verbalized me and threatened me to death, just when we were in the dressing room. Although she could look kidding, how could she kill in front of such a world? Right, Miss Zhang?" 

Shen Zi was dazzled over her speech, that he could only encourage and praise her more. Zhang You, cracked her fingers and grind her teeth. She was being doomed this time! Lin Zoe was sure -- revenging terribly on her. 

"In the dressing room, I was carefully dressing when, Miss Zhang threatened me of death and a proof was a clock which she will use to alert three men she hired, hidden among the hall at that precise time," she explained. 

The judge used his gavel, and struck the little wooden plate to quiet the room. 

"Miss Lin, I see what you mean. Please sit down and my your lawyer defend your case," she said. 

Lin Zoe went back, and sat down comfortably. The lawyer of the Zhang family was trying to defend Zhang You with good facts. Her mistakes, made it difficult for her lawyer to help her out. She became more and more nervous, while Lin Zoe was more and more impatient. 

The lawyer came and showed the photos of three men, in large sheets of paper. When Zhang You saw the photos, her eyes exhorbited. 

The men could be seen in prisoners dresses and their measures and names precised. 

"Your highness, here are the photos of the men hired by Miss Zhang You." he said

"How could they find them? What... what happen... happened?" she thought, trembling. 

The lawyer continued by saying; " As you see, they are from prison and they have been arrested yesterday with Miss Zhang You at the same place." 

"No, No!" Zhang You cried, loudly. 

At this, the judge struck his gavel loudly and angrily said; "Silence in the court! Miss respect yourself. You're already in a bad state." 

She continued sobbing, while her family was reprimanding her. The lawyer tried his best to help, but it was even worse. Lin Zoe smiled and mocked the pitiful slut, in her agony; "Now, I hope you will laugh again at me, like you did when you wanted to kill me." 

"Please your highness, may they come here and see if they have a watch coresponding the watch of miss Zhang You." the lawyer asked. 

"Indeed!" she said.

They were already touching at the climax, and the last say was to be heard. The three prisoners came and were given back their seized watches, which they had during the interview. The lawyer checked them and saw three identical pairs of watches. 

This time it is the ultimate proof, that Zhang You was guilty, and which made Lin fret a little. Shen Zi cheered up Zoe who seemed nervous.

"Hey! Don't be nervous, okay?" She laughed and then smiled. "Thank you! But, what if, the watches didn't correspond with Zhang You's?" 

"They will. She must go to prison for what she did." 

The lawyer took the watch of Zhang You, and then showed it to everyone. 

"This is the watch, that will prove Miss Lin's innocence. These are the watches that were seized yesterday from the three men. These three men were; armed yesterday," he said. 

To the shock of everyone, they preferred being quiet and see, what the lawyer will do to prove Miss Zhang's guilt. 

"Here is the watch that I showed earlier." 

The lawyer of Zhang You had an idea and said; "What if what you want to do, doesn't work?" 

He simply responded, "Then Miss Zhang will not be guilty." 

The judge asked him to demonstrate the link between those four watches. The lawyer took Zhang You's watch and pressed the button on it. 

It made a: --BEEP--BEEP--sound. 

Zhang You, trembled heavily all over her body.  The judge struck his gavel and the whole court, was silent. 

They all knew what it meant. 

"Miss Zhang, what can you say about this?" 

"I...I'm...innocent!" she mumbled. 

"How can you be innocent?" 

"Attempted assassination with vehicle, homicide, verbalization, and the use of weapons." 

Zhang You fell to the ground and trembled more. Her family couldn't help her anymore. The lawyer was ashamed of being unable to help the Zhang family. 

"According to the law of China, you will be imprisoned for 26 years and 6 months, with no fees to pay. The court judgment is over."

Policemen looked for Zhang You to put her in prison, while she was trying to run away.

"Catch her." one of them, said. 

The policemen ran over her and cuffed her hands. She was then brought by force to prison. No one cared about her. 

"No, leave me. I'm innocent!" she cried.

"Yeah, you're. Go and moan in your cell." the guard holding her, replied. 

Everyone was busy going out. 

The trial was over and Lin Zoe won. Lin Zoe took a photo and video of crazy Zhang You, trying to run away from the police and her trial while being cuffed.

"Zhang You, prepare to taste your own medicine."

Shen Zi and Lin Zoe were outside of the hall and felt the hot sun over their heads. They stayed from morning to noon in the hall, and Lin was already so tired, she was yawning terribly. 

She entered the back of the climatized car and Shen Zi drove in the front. 

"Sheeeen!" she said 

"Yes," 

"Bring me to a fancy restaurant please," she pleaded.

He was first annoyed by the way he called her; but forgave her because she was tired. 

"What should you say?"
