Chapter 1

It's been a month since I last saw him, a month since I felt his warm hugs, a month since I saw his dazzling smile. Today I am going to see him again and I can't help but feel scared and on edge, will he be able to tell that something has changed?

My name is Victoria Carson and I'm the worst girlfriend in the world. "Honey if you keep staying up there I won't be able to take you to school today" my mum's voice rang through the house. "I'm coming mum" but I hadn't even moved an inch as I stared at my reflection in the mirror, making sure I looked perfect and nothing was out of place. Today had to go smoothly to avoid Bruce finding out.

"Tori!!!!! Don't you dare make me late, five more minutes or I'm leaving you" you could hear the impatience in her voice and this time I was sure she meant every word. With a roll of my eyes and one final look in the mirror I left my room, going straight for the front door, passing the kitchen on my way "oh gosh, why do you have to be so noisy so early in the morning" I said with a smile on my face when I saw my mum in the kitchen getting ready for work, she was wearing a navey blue pencil skirt that accentuated her hips, on that she wore a white ruffled blouse. It didn't really matter what she wore mom always looked hot and right now she was working that outfit.

"well I won't have to shout if you'd just come down the first six time I called you then all this would have been avoided. And I didn't hear any good morning dear daughter" my mum, ever the drama queen I thought while rolling my eyes "good morning mother" I said, I even added a curtsey at the end. "ha ha, cute" she said with all the sarcasm she could muster, she started to pull her hair in a bun, she always liked it that way and I could never understand why she grew it so long if she was always tying it in a bun. Her beautiful brown locks where hidden from sight almost at all times.

"So what took you so long to get ready dear?" she asked as she ushered me out of the house, handing me a  cup of coffee in the car, with a small smile and a mumbled thanks, I took a small sip of my drink...yeah, just the way u like it "well its not every day I get to have my first day in my last year of academy" I said smiling at her "or it's not every day you long lost boyfriend comes home" there was a teasing note to her voice, she started the car and  it roared to life and we were off to school.

"there's that too, oh mum I just missed him so much" at this point I am certain that I was blushing down to the root of my hair. "I missed him too, I'm sure hell be so happy to see you" she said while patting my head, making the hair I'd worked so hard for ruined.

We were already pulling up to the school gates "eww mum don't say it like that.... you know what don't say that at all it gave me goosebumps" I pretest to shudder at the very idea and I tried to get my hair to look less scattered "and of course he misses me, I mean I'm a very missable person" looking in the mirror I said with a wide smile on my lips.

"of course you are sweetie, I'll see you after school, greet Bruce for me when you see him, and try to have fun hon" we're her last words before she drove away after I got out of the car.

"have fun she said" I muttered under my breath as I gazed at my worst nightmare.
