Chapter 3

"Lunch, break finally, I thought I was going to die of hunger" Gloria is always hungry, which is surprising because she's always eating. "Didn't have breakfast this morning??" I asked even when I knew the answer she was going to give "of course I ate, if not I'll have died after first period" she said as we made our way to a bench in the cafeteria, food in hand of course.

"So spill how did you spend the summer, I know you didn't go anywhere but you must have had fun" Gloria asked when we took a seat, today her mum had made for her a burger with grilled fish, I've never seen a woman who cooks like her. I remember back when we were ten and her mum made for us a very delicious three course meal to celebrate our turning ten, even though our birthdays had passed.

"Nothing much actually, all I did was stay at home and miss you guys, I think I only met up with Kayle once all through summer" I told her, I was just trying to get her off my back. I should have known it won't work "oh please, I know something must have happened and I won't stop asking till you tell me" Gloria then took a bite from her burger .

"I'm serious, nothing important happened, I mostly spent my day indoors",

"if you saying so was her only reply, though I knew that she was only dropping it for a while.

" What are you pretty ladies doing all by yourselves? I hope you don't mind if we keep you company" Bruce gave me a kiss on the head as he took a seat right beside me while Kyle sat right next to Gloria. "Well of course you could keep us company Bruce but this other guy has got to go" she told him while pointing at Kayle "awwwn baby, are you still sad cause I didn't kiss you?"

"Kiss who?" Alexander Cooley, captain of the troops but in as he squeezed himself in between Gloria and Kayle. ",No one," both murmured at the same time which made the two laugh. "huh... So what do you think about you, me, by the cliff in this night" Xander whispered into Glows ear. Giggling "ohh I don't know, I was planning on going to Toria's place this night, how about we go after school?" I saw Xander's entire mood change, the once bubbly jock had become tensed and serious "ohh it's fine, I have something to do after school today, maybe next time". He didn't even wait for her reply before taking off, not bothering to give Gloria a last glance.

"Well that wasn't awkward at all" Kayle said right after he left "he's just being impatient because we haven't had alone time in a while" Gloria defended him.."Did you just say he's being impatient? Well all I see is that he wants to get into your pants*"

"oh please, he won't be the first and definitely not the last person to try to have sex with me" Gloria said nonchalantly, though it was obvious that what she said didn't seat well with him but Kayle didn't say a word. Not long after the bell rang and we all had to go out seperrate ways, I wish I had at least one class with anoy of them.

We all agreed to meet at the entrance to the academy so we can leave together.
