Werewolves Palace

Leroy took her back to the previous fighting place between Heidrich and the werewolves.

The werewolves had set up a camp and were currently sitting in five groups. All of them were sitting around the fire, chatting and grilling meat that they hunted a few hours ago.

Some even dared to take out bottles of hidden alcohol and drink openly.

The atmosphere was lively. None of them cares for Leroy who was holding Carissa on his shoulder.

As for Carissa, a small bubble from her nose popped out as she snored. Leroy went back to his camp slowly and made Carissa feel drowsy along the way.

The fatigue from fighting all day beat her and helped her fall asleep in seconds.

She was still dreaming happily when Leroy threw her inside his camp unceremoniously and woke her up.

"Ugh! Damn, Leroy! Can't you be a gentleman for a second? My back is broken!" she sat up and snarled at him.

Leroy watched her rubbing her back and curled his lips. He believes this woman must be talking nonsense again.

"Don't Fret! Are you so weak? You've slept on my shoulder for a whole two hours. My shoulder is numb and I didn't even complain." he rubbed his shoulder as he spoke.

Carissa's eyes sharpened in an instant, "Leroy Percival! Did you just say that I'm heavy?!" she stood up and launched an attack towards Leroy.

Leroy sighed and easily captured her fist in his hand, "I didn't say it. However, I advise you not to waste your energy on me. You'll need it later."

Carissa pulled back her hand and snorted, "Humph! What do you mean?"

"Since you're so capable of eliminating the Tane Clan, why don't you join us to eliminate another vampire clan?"

Carissa was tempted. After all, the Tane's clan was a Royal Vampire in the 5th rank. If she could destroy another vampire clan, she could absorb as many souls as she could with the help of the werewolves.

However, this is counted as a gift and there's no such 'free' gift in this world.

"Why should I help you? You know, I can eliminate them on my own."

"Why not? You eliminate them, you would have less enemy by then." Leroy looked away.

Carissa narrowed her eyes, "Really? Why do I have the feeling that you are not telling me the whole story?"

Leroy coughed, "Well, you are smart. After the battle here ended, I wanted to bring you to the werewolf's palace. What do you think?"

Carissa's eyes turn cold, "Why do you want to bring me there?"

There were chills on Leroy's back when he met Carissa's cold look, he answered calmly, "Why are you so hostile? You help us eliminate the vampires. Why do you mind visiting us to sign an alliance cooperation?"

Carissa couldn't help cursing in her heart. If only she was not confined now...

Werewolves palace...hmph!

She would visit it sooner or later. If she was given an opportunity, why not take it? Anyway, there will be a lot of powerful souls she can absorb over there.

"I can help you eliminate the vampires in one condition."

Leroy raises an eyebrow, "Oh? What condition?"

"Help me get out of this net!"

Leroy turned his head away in an instant, "No!"

"Suit yourself." Carissa fumed and lay down inside the camp, ready to take another nap.

Leroy looked at the woman lying inside his camp and bit his lips. If he removes the net, Carissa would certainly gain an advantage over him.

However, if he didn't, using Carissa to eliminate the vampire was like throwing meat at the lions.

"Fine. I agree."

Carissa immediately sat up, "Hurry up!"

Leroy rubbed his chin, "If I let you go, you must promise me two things. One, eliminate the three clans of Isador, Neifion and Waldo tonight. Two, go back with me to the werewolf's palace."

Carissa was extremely unwilling in her heart when she heard the second condition. Her body was extremely stiff.

"If you want to gain credit for bringing me back, you can dream. If I got killed by your superiors, my ghost will haunt you for ages. If I got caught and I escaped, all of these, I will return it to you ten times fold." she murmured with low voices but Leroy still heard it.

He was tense when she finished warning him but his guilty conscience only passed by in a flash. Carissa who was looking down did not notice it either.

CHING!

His claws appeared and Carissa watched him cutting the magical net with his claws with a bit of surprise in her eyes. After all, this net was magical and perhaps only a witch could remove it.

She had already expected this from him when she saw his unnatural eyes but she was still fascinated when she saw it with her own eyes.

"Did you know that this net is a magical net created by a witch?" she asked casually when she removed the net from her body.

However, her question made Leroy's pupil shrank and his body froze.

"What did you say?"

Carissa felt a sudden change in the atmosphere and looked at Leroy who was pale in the face in confusion.

"Where did you hear it? How did you know this was created by a witch?" Leroy was out of control as he held Carissa's shoulder in a tight grip.

She felt the pain and frowned, "I heard it from the vampires. Why are you so agitated?"

"Who said it? Which vampires?" Leroy's voice was loud and red veins appeared on his white eyes.

Carissa pushed Leroy away from her, "Leroy, calm yourself down!"

The commotion attracted the elite werewolves.

"What happened?" a man with yellow hair approached them.

Carissa didn't want to tell Leroy that Heidrich said it to her. If she did, it would do more harm than benefit them all.

"Nothing."

She looked at Leroy, "Calm yourself down first. If we succeed in eliminating the three clans today, I will tell you who said it."

She said this but she didn't promise she would tell him. After all, he was using her to gain something. It would be a pity if she didn't do the same.
