Stirring in my sleep as I sense Kevin's heartbeat quicken; I keep turning until I give up and sit up with him looking with his eyes widened. Rolling my eyes, I tell him, "You didn't wake me up; I couldn't sleep anymore."
He nods his head before moving his arm from around me; stretching as I get off the bed while he stares at me, making sure I don't hurt myself. Wanting to yell at him but knowing he'll come back with some like 'I was just keeping an eye on my beautiful mate and our babies.' or 'I'm your mate, I'm supposed to protect you and our babies.'
