Chapter Seven

Mariana raised her head slowly looking around the room, her head hurt badly so was most of her body. Her eyes couldn't open properly but at least she could see something a little clearly.

The room was white with blood splashed awkwardly on every wall making her heart beat increase randomly. She wasn't born yesterday or joined this life style yesterday.

She was in the death room, the three red tool boxes in the corner made a sweat break out on her forehead. Panic was getting to her, her pulse high and her thoughts fuzzy like she was high on cocaine.

She had to get out of here but how, noticing the tight ropes; her whole body froze. She was tied on a chair for fuck's sake she was damn tied on a chair.

Her legs and chest too, the adrenaline pushing her to the edge.

Positioning her legs and holding her ground she tried to stand up in a weird way, good enough it was a wooden chair making easy way for her plans.

"Seriously Mariana, I think I underestimated you so much " Mariana froze, her heart thumping so uncomfortably in her chest.

She slowly positioned the chair back in a sitting position, she hadn't heard the door being opened where as Marco stood there leaning by the wall

His white shirt untucked and the sleeves rolled to his elbows, his looks stood out more.

She kept her eyes on him trying to gulp the lump in her throat that didn't want to move, "I won't deny you actually fooled me with all the innocent act, am not so sure, may be you can talk too right ?"

Every single word that came out of his lips was laced with bitterness that kept hitting a sudden spot on her heart, it kind of hurt but then it felt like it wasn't there at all.

Marco pushed away from the wall, his eyes cold and his lip in a thin line. She could feel the sparks of his anger radiating from him to where she sat but then he was taking hard short painfully steps towards her, she wondered what exactly he was going to do to her.

Was he going to kill her, of course he is a Di Martino ' they got no hearts or a conscious '.

Marco squat in front of her grabbing her chin roughly so that her eyes were in line with his making her breath hitch in her throat, they had never been this close and it was making her feel in a way she had never felt before.

"Mariana am a very easy going person" he whispered his hold on her chin tightening roughly making her wince while her eyes fell close. "But I hate lies, betray and deceit am no fool "

His voice felt like a bullet, if her heart could accelerate more faster then it just did while a shiver rushed down her spine, her eyes flew open and she looked up at him wanting to say something.

Maybe her words would save her and good enough he noticed " Arthur get me a note book and a pen " he called out.

"Yes sir "

Marco sighed and stood up walking back to the wall and leaning against it, her eyes locked with hid and non of them seemed to want to look away.

The silence was comfortable as there souls seemed to have connected, she wanted to look away but there was force around him that wouldn't let her.

"Boss" Arthur spoke up,they both pulled away in surprise and shock of being caught, looking somewhere else as the blonde guy walked into the room.

"Give them to her and untie her hands " Arthur placed the note book on her lap before walking behind and untying her wrist.

A sigh of relief escaped her lips, her eyes scanning her reddened wrist before looking down at the note book then up at Marco. This may be her only chance to save herself, she grabbed the pen her thoughts moving back to the golden pen he had given her that she left in the room which he had also given to her.

To be sincere he hadn't treated her badly or do anything that scared her off maybe if she didn't do this everything would still be as it was good enough he still couldn't seem to realise that she was Valente Russo's wife.

' Am sorry.

Your Marco Di Martino and I was afraid you are going to kill me  '

"Why would I kill you? " He whispered and she looked down at the book , now she felt silly. She couldn't even talk and this was making her teary, it hurt that she had to lie in order to save her self.

' cause am a sharp shooter, more like an assassin but I mean no trouble.

You helped me and gave me a place to live I don't plan on going against you  '

Marco stood still before his lips twirled up in to a smirk, she looked up at him and her eyes widened immediately. What the hell was going on in his mind.

"Work for me " He replied and now she fainted
