Embrace my night: Chapter 20

Peter walked across the floor and gently but firm helped Margie from the bedroom. It suddenly dawned on him. Quietly opening the door he checked it. Closing it he locked it hearing the bolts shut into place. Looking at the door a worry builds inside of him. Turning he faced her. She had climbed so silently from her hiding place.

“Am I deluded?”

Peter walked over to her. He took her by the hand and led her to the bed making her sit on top while he knelt before her.

“Love, I gathered at first that you didn’t recognize me. Instinctively though you did know me. Deluded you are not. For some reason or another someone in this house are playing tricks on you.” He kept his tone soft and even wondering absently if the room wasn’t bugged by chance.

“Why would it be done? I am harmless, aren’t I?”

“I don’t know. Something isn’t right in your family. After our last puzzled conversation I did a bit of checking. Everything was shrouded in secrecy. Tell me,
