Jessica was already in her bed when Jovita came in, wearing a school uniform, “what do you think?” Jovita asked, swirling around.

“Why do you have to go to school?” Jessica asked, sitting up, flicking her bed-side table lamp on.

“So that I can spend time with you,” Jovita said, smiling.

“Do you have to be a teenager to do that?” Jessica asked, rolling her eyes, turning to her lamp and switching it off.

“Well, yes, since you are making it so difficult to spent time with you. School is like all day so when will I see you if we don’t go to school together?” Jovita asked, sitting down on Jessica’s bed.

“Weekends,” Jessica said, turning her back to Jovita.

“Good night,” Jovita said, standing up and walked to the door, “Jessica, I might not have chosen your name and brought you up, but I am still your mother and I love you. Everything I have done was for you.”

Jessica don’t respond. Jovita left and went to her own room.
