The Stranger Ted Karanzza

11:30 am City of Uvalde... Downtown.

People are up and down walking along the sidewalks, crossing streets, and in the main square children play and gentlemen play chess. Others are just sitting on benches smoking a cigarette with distant eyes, while others are debating a bit about the local baseball team, and if not, politics or the nuclear crisis.

A black 1950 Dodge, very dusty, stops with one of those "bald" tires on the sidewalk of the square... A policeman who is always on guard in a public place, is attentive and sees the driver's indifferent attitude. He takes a notepad out of his pocket and makes a notification:

"Your license plate is already in my head, Ted" Thinking the man of the law walking, up to the offender's vehicle ... He takes off his truncheon and, next to the car, hits the tire: "Tóim! Tóim!"
