Chapter 9

Dizen is now heading his way out of the car while Celo is needed to park it. He entered the big building which is their company. Everyone that sees him greeted him.

He walked quickly until he got inside the elevator which was empty earlier but now there were some employees coming in. After waiting for the last person who will come inside and when there is none, they closed the elevator and select each floor they were going to.

Going out of the elevator, working out on his feet just to get in his father's office. Once he reached for the door knob, he twisted it and then once opened it without knocking, he barged inside.

“Looks like you aren't sick.”

“I am.” His father was just drinking a glass of tequila on his hand.

“What? Don't you know I have an important thing to do but I prioritized you because according to you, you are not feeling well. But here you are, totally fine. Tell me what is it all about?” Dizen exploded a lot of words he had inside.

His father answered him calmly, “You should be paying attention on things that will help you make a better life in the future. The company needs your presence.”

Dizen looked away. “All my life you are pushing me to take care of this company but without even asking me if I want to.”

“It's because you're my only son. Who else should I entrust our wealth?” His father has a point.

Dizen decided to end this discord because he was still pointless even if he argued. Son can never win on their father and that's his case. “Just give it to me your list of appointments. I'm so sick of this conversation, once I'm done I will leave. And this is my first time doing this, next time you don't have any chance when I found out that you're just faking your sick.”

His father didn't answered back instead he just busy himself pouring his glass. “She's my secretary, just talk to her. She's the one who will help you.”

Dizen turned his back and made his way toward the woman who is busy fixing her things on her table. He approached it and he explained everything and gave the papers and everything that his father needed to do today.

It was a tiring day for the man who was making his way out of the building. Celo who was sleeping inside of his car, his sleep were interrupted because of loud knocks which the car was getting right now.

He saw his friend outside so he opened it and let him barge inside.

“You done?” asked Celo while rubbing his eyes to see things clearly.

“Yeah.” That was the first word Dizen said.

“You, you look tired.” Celo you started to look for the key inside his pocket while throwing some glimpse toward his friend.

“This is really exhausting.” Dizen heaved a sigh, putting his two hands at the back of his head.

“Oh, no. You don't have the right to be exhausted. Just be the man of your words.” Celo began giving some hints about their deal.

“But I said we'll be only doing it if we find Eli.” Dizen's words are still bold me even if he looks exhausted.

“Ok, let's go back there and bring... let's bring her home.” Celo let out a satisfying you smile as he was building his hopes up. He was determined that they will still see that woman because you already saw her when he had peeked at the window earlier.

“Drive as fast as you can.” Dizen's reply, still hoping that there will be a good outcome this thing they are up to right now.

“You don't have to tell me that,” sad Celo as he began to put the engine into life.

“Prizes are waiting.” Dizen's reinforcements are still effective and are still affecting every nerve his friend are having right now.

“And my tummy is craving.” The best friend who was focused on managing the steering wheel.

Just like a snap of a finger as Celo drove shotgun, there now a standing at the front of the shop just like what they were doing earlier but this time they were sure there are no interruptions or things that will stop them from doing it.

Celo gave the door three consecutive knocks. The time that it was opened, they heard clinking of the chimes hang above.

Then they saw the woman they were looking for. Busy she was listening to her boss who was explaining the things she needs to know as she was just a new employee who doesn't know things or her workloads.

Dizen moved his feet towards the counter and called the manager. When the manager of this shop saw him, she was not mad because she was interrupted on her orienting Eli. She was starstrucked to see one of the most famous businessman in their country.

She asked if it's okay to take a picture of her with him. Dizen said it was all right but in one condition. The manager nodded her head quickly even if she didn't know what she was going to hear.

“I want to talk to her.” Dizen pointed the girl using his pointing lips. Does this man don't have a finger to use or he's just not into using it at this moment? Maybe.

“Her?” asked the manager, watching the woman reading the notes she has given to her.

“Yeah, that new employee.” Dizen already knew that the woman saw him when he called the manager but he also know that the woman is avoiding him so she is purposely made or turned herself busy reading that notes she was holding.

“Eli, Mr. Lopez will talk to you later.” The manager approached her but not continued inside the counter, she just stopped there at the ordering area so she can still talk to Mister Lopez.

“But ma'am, I'm at work now. I can't.” Eli quickly reverted her gaze and threw it back to the paper she was holding.

“It's fine I won't deduct your salary,” said by the manager again and the two guys heard that.

Dizen go to manager, telling the truth and his motives why he was here. “Excuse me manager, you need to fire her now.”

“Why?” reacted by the manager as it was expected this way because the statement was so out of the blue. And that was the most direct statement they had heard this day.

“Because she was going to be my employee, I mean she's going to work for me.” Dizen even said that he was the one who hire her first yet this woman is not finished yet on her contract which was all bluff but the manager is still believe to this man.

“Oh, I see.” That was the initial reaction of the manager before turning her back on the two and coming face-to-face to that busy woman. “Eli pack your things, Mister Lopez is waiting for you.”

“Thank you, madam,” said Dizen when the manager turned to face him again.

“No problem, sir.”

The manager left them and the three or now with the same atmosphere. It was a hot atmosphere, so tight.

“Hey you dick head what's your problem?” Eli started the war but she seemed to give in sooner.

Dizen hold her on the forearm. “My problem is I almost died searching for you.”

“Won't you ask me if I mind?” ask Eli, raising her brows as if she didn't care at all.

“Of course, you're not. But I really need you.” Dizen was too honest like how honest is lower body is during their morning hard with Celo.

“Okay.” This was the most unexpected response they had heard from this woman.

“What?” Dizen was dumbfounded.

But Eli seemed to be so fine. “Where's your car? Oh, there! Let's go.”

“What?” Dizen is at great confusion.

“I said, let's go!” Eli pulled him when she got a grip on him.

“Where?” Dizen asked, he was so out of any idea.

“With you. I'm coming home with you.” Eli's confirmation was like a freshwater under the sun, it was so clear and calling.

“Are you not complaining or objecting?” asked Dizon.

“Why would I?” replied by the woman. Since when the tables turned? No one can say.

But everything comes into light and darkness were vanished by this long explanation of Eli. “You know what I'm just waiting for this to happen. I just don't want to look desperate when I go back to your mansion so I look for another job to get a solution for my problem but it seems like my problem was solved now. Let's go.”

Dizen was speechless.

“Hey, Celo why are you quiet?” It was the first time the woman noticed the friend of the speechless man.

“'Cuz I'm dying in so much hunger. He won't let me eat if we don't find you.” Celo seemed to be so low in energy. He was so used, he really needed to fueling his self up.

“Oh, so you can eat now.” Eli smiled at Celo before looking at Dizen. “Hey, Dizen don't you love your friend anymore, do you? Will you let him starved to death?”

Eli waved her hand in front of the man's bewildered face and when the man came back to his senses, he replied immediately.

“Oh yeah — I mean, no — let's go.”

After half an hour, they finally found a restaurant to let out their hunger. They are now feeding themselves of the delicious foods served on their table. Dizen granted all of the foods he promised that is a friend. Celo is now enjoying every little thing he have. It looks like it is his last day on earth so we will eat everything he likes except for shits.
