Chapter 5

                              CHAPTER 5

At night, the water current was pushing the ship away without sailing it, on its own cause. The pirates were all relaxing.  A pirate was telling a story to some of the colleagues.

‘I remember when the war of Kinsale began. We all thought that it will be the end of Ireland.’ He looked at his colleagues, and discovered they were all listening to him, he continued, ‘the leader of the rebel was a very strong soldier. Hum, I’ve forgotten his name.’

A man shouted from behind, it’s because you’re telling us lie that’s why you forgot, Lukas. You’re not there, how do you know the story? Why don’t you tell the truth?’ Lukas was very angry, he said, ‘how do you know I was not there?’

‘Since you can’t give us the name of the rebel leader,’ Abraham accused.

‘It’s because I have forgotten.’

‘It’s because you are telling lie.’ He mocked him. Then one of the pirates said, ‘so you’ve been feeding us with lie all this while.’

Another angrily said, ‘He is a good liar.’ So the men began to leave Lukas, one after the other, returning back to their different stations. Abraham walked to Lukas, and said, ‘why are you telling them lies?’

‘What concerns you by the way? They like my story, before you messed things up.’ He defended himself, and walked away from Abraham.

Many hours later, Captain Casablanca voice sprang, and woke up some of the pirates that were sleeping. ‘Comrades, we’re there.’ He took away the binocular away from his eyes, as the sleeping pirates woke up, stretching up. Some walked to the deck of the ship and beheld the country, afar.

‘Zealot, Thomas, come right now.’ Captain Casablanca shouted to his two men, as they walked up to him, to his cabin.

There were wreckages of ships at the bay of the seaport, and rubies fond here and there. The dock was very busy, as ship berth at the port. Some ships were loaded into, while carriages were taking them off.  Passengers were seen around waiting to board a ship. There was noise around. Soldiers were locking round the dockyard.

‘I want you to be in your best outfit, and behave nice when you get there. Don’t steal anything, but buy when you need it. I believe you heard me?’ Captain Casablanca advised.

‘Aye, Captain.’

Captain Casablanca continued, ‘I, and some of you will be visiting the city for a serious business. Thomas will be around to stand in my post for awhile. Make sure you respect him. Give him an undivided respect that you do give to me. Make sure you are loyal to all you do. I believe you heard me?’

‘Aye, Captain.’ Some of the pirates were looking at Thomas, jealously.

‘And lastly, if by sunset we’re not here on time. Make sure you sail off. Do you hear me, comrades?’

‘Yes, Captain.’

‘You’re dismissed.’ The pirates returned back to their stations. Captain Casablanca gave a signal to Zealot and Thomas, and they walked with him to the cabin. ‘Are you ready, Zealot?’

‘Aye, Captain.’

‘And you, Thomas?’

‘Yes, Captain. You’ve been with me for years. I know of your undivided loyalty and patient. I think you know what to do?’ Thomas nodded, feeling sad within.

‘Good.’ He tapped him on the shoulder. After about some minutes later, Captain Casablanca said to Zealot. ‘It remained few minutes for us to leave. Go and change to a better outfits, and rest your bones for awhile.’

Thomas commanded some pirates to throw the anchor into the sea, for the ship to berth. Captain Casablanca and the chosen pirates then left the ship when it docked at the port, without majority knowing. Captain Casablanca was wearing an Irish outfit. They walked away from the ship’s view into a wagon, the moment they alighted from the ship.

‘Take us to the city, friend. We are in hurry to go to work.’ Captain Casablanca said to the driver of the wagon, in Irish.

‘No problem, man.’ The wagon driver said.

Before time, Captain Casablanca had instructed his boys never to call him, Captain, for the sake of the mission. ‘Just call me master.’ He warned. The wagon man stroke on the horse as it wheeled them to the city.

After some minutes of driving, the wagon man asked, ‘Where are you going into the city?’

‘Oh, it at the city bank,’ Captain Casablanca said.

‘Oh! I we’ll soon be there.’ Not long he pulled over at a roundabout, before the city bank. Captain Casablanca and his men alighted, and he paid him off.

‘Thanks.’ He drove away out of sight. After the driver had gone, awhile, Captain Casablanca called another wagon.

‘Treasure Island’ Captain said, and the man looked at them suspiciously.

‘We’re going to the controller’s office. He called us to reconstruct a damage building in there. Can you take us there?’ He smiled.

‘Yes. I will, if you can pay very well.’ The driver said, and captain and his men loaded themselves into wagon.

‘There is no problem about that.’  The driver drove off to the Island. The place was called Island because a little portion of land surrounded it, and tall building was built on it, so the watchmen see from afar off. There was treasure stored in the cave of the Island for generations; these are asset the government has been keeping away from commoners. There were three main houses some blocks away from the Treasure Island. There are buildings for the chief officers of the security guards. The security to the Treasure Island was very tight. Its gate was very tall, and the fence of it was very tick. Security officers paraded the entrance of the gate, while the gate entrance was shut inside.

The wagon stopped at one of the small buildings, as Captain Casablanca and his men alighted. Captain paid the driver, and he drove off. Captain walked to a building and knocked, someone answered. ‘Yes. Who’s there?’

Captain Casablanca answered, ‘Oh. We’re men that come to work in the controller’s office. We felt thirsty. Can you please give us some cups of water to drink? Is he around?’

‘Oh, no. He’s not around.’ A young man said, not showing up.

‘Oh. What a pity. Come and give us water to drink, we’re dare in need of it.’ He requested.

‘Okay. Just a minute, I’m coming.’ The young man began to open the door. Captain Casablanca instructed his men to hide behind, away from the view of the boy. As soon as the young man opened up the door, Captain Casablanca jumped in, covering the young man’s mouth, and gave a sign to others to walk in. Suddenly, a lady spoke. ‘Alex, who are you talking to?’ A lady said, from the upstairs of the building. Immediately, Captain Casablanca signaled to his men to hide, still covering up the mouth. ‘Shss! If you dare talk, I will kill you. Okay?’ He drew him away from the sight. Not long, a beautiful lady walked down from the staircase, wondering where her brother was.  Zealot sneaked on her from behind and covered up her mouth, the whole men came out of their hiding.

‘Tie them, and cover up their mouths with any pieces of cloth. And take them to a room and lock them in.’ Zealot ran his hand on the lady, and Captain hit him on the belly. ‘Take them to a room, and get down here in a jiffy.’ Zealot crouched. After they had tied the two, they took them to a room, and locked them up, and returned back, changing their cloths to more smart ones, they were ready to drink the wonder beer.

‘Just take a sip. Not much. Make sure you do the necessary things. Make sure you don’t make any body contact with any of the security officers. We will be seeing ourselves, though they may not. I will take care of the men, outside. Make haste on whatever you are doing. If you get caught, do not say anything, even if they want to kill you, remember the code. When the beer elapsed, take another sip. But make sure you’re not seen. Don’t forget where I told you the Treasure are.’

‘Yes, Captain.’

‘When you get to the underground side, kill all the security men. The jar of the wonder beer must be by your belt. Only drink it when its power elapsed. Okay.’

‘Yes, Captain.’

‘Now drink.’ Captain Casablanca ordered his men, and they all drank it at ones. At first, there was no trace of any disappearance, but soon, they began to disappear one by one. ‘Leave no traces behind. No one must talk to another. Only use signal. Now, let’s move.’

They began to walk to the entrance of the Treasure gate, and no one could see them. Captain Casablanca got down a security man, while Zealot and another got down the two remaining that are manning the gate with daggers, making sure the victim doesn’t fall down. They gently took away their corpses, and Captain signaled to some of his men to replace the dead guards, and they wore their uniforms.
