"Leave us alone," Mr. Robertson ordered after a few minutes of silence.
Kathryn's eyes wavered, she could feel her fingers slightly tremble as she tried to move her legs, following what the towering figure just uttered. She was about to head to the door when Zachary's hand suddenly caught hers, stopping her from leaving.
Kathryn stared at Zachary's eyes then, only to find them hard and serious as Zachary sternly whispered, "Don't leave."
"Let her leave, we'll do a serious talk," Mr. Robertson's voice wasn't far from Zachary's tone either.
Zachary turned to his father, eyes red in anger, "It was you, it was all your fucking fault Kathryn had to suffer by herself. I'm not going to let this go, you hear me? If you dare hurt Kathryn again, I swear to god I'm gonna kill you!"
Mr. Robertson frowned then, his eyes casting that of disappointment. "This isn't going to work... Zachary, Kathryn can’t give you a child.
Five months later"Kathryn! Here, here!" David, from the topmost bench, waved at Kathryn who had her head turning around for the past few minutes. The sound of whistles, cheering, and chatters echoed through the swimming gymnasium as people, both from G University and from other schools listed in the competition, continued to enter the place.Kathryn smiled the moment she saw David. Walking towards the said friend, Kathryn passed by a few other schoolmates who greeted her cheerfully. Among them was Vivian Heather."Kath!" Vivian Heather was smiling widely as she got up from one of the benches."Oh, Vivian? Wow, I didn't notice you because of your hair..."Kathryn recognized Vivian and couldn’t help but comment on her hair. It was too bright, with a shade of intense pink, to be left unnoticed.Vivian Heather grinned, "Hehehe, I changed it last week. Does it look good on me?"Kathryn sm
The sun was already up when Kathryn woke up from her slumber. The sky blue and white curtains were flapping through the open window and Kathryn couldn't help but smile at the sight before her. She could see the pastel-colored skies through the glass walls and she could feel and smell the soft salty air breeze that constantly seeped through the windows. She glanced at her side, feeling her heart becoming warm as she brought her hand to her husband's face and softly caressed his cheek. Kathryn didn't expect being married could give her this kind of emotion. It was all thanks to this sleeping man beside her, that Kathryn could get to experience everything that she never imagined to have. Not to mention, the wonderful emotions radiating through her body whenever she was being held by her husband at night. Kathryn blushed at the thought. It was too early for her to think about such things.Ten months after the proposal and a week after their graduation day, Zachary a
"You really wanna die that much, huh?" Zachary said, his eyes full of rage as he gave Charles a loud hard punch. The impact was too strong which caused Charles to fall to the ground instantly.Everybody gasped and stayed a distance away from Zachary and Charles."What the hell? We're just inviting you!" Charles said, frowning as he wiped blood off his lip.Zachary didn't say anything and was about to attack Charles again when Kathryn caught his arm."Stop! Stop it, Zack!" Kathryn didn't know what to do. Why did Zachary suddenly get mad?"What an asshole," Charles muttered under his breath as one of his friends helped him to stand up.Zachary gritted his teeth and was about to attack again but Kathryn held him still."Zack! Let's just go, please, Zack," Kathryn whispered to her husband.Zachary stared at Charles with a pair of vicious red eyes, silently giving him a death threat before letting Kathryn drag him back to their hote
When Kathryn woke up in the morning, she noticed Zachary wasn't beside her anymore. Rubbing her eyes, she called out for her husband."Zack?"Then a man popped out from the bathroom, all fresh and clean. "Good morning, baby."The image immediately brought a smile to Kathryn. Who would've thought her husband would wake up early today? It was indeed a miracle.A few hours before lunch, Zachary and Kathryn went to the beach side and started to play volleyball. Kathryn wasn't an athletic person but she sure did know how to play this game. Every summer when she was a kid, she would play volleyball on the beach with the other kids from the orphanage.Soon, a few people started joining them. Zachary, upon seeing how happy Kathryn was playing, set aside his possessiveness."Whew, that was a good game," Kathryn said, panting as they took a break and sat under a hut.Zachary smiled and nodded, "Yeah. You're good at this, Kath."Kat
Mouth hanging open and tears slowly rolling down his face, Zachary was left frozen in his feet, unable to take his eyes away as he watched his girlfriend being pulled closer against another man's body. From the angle where they stood, Zachary could see them kissing, and the way their arms wrapped around each other showed they were intimate. That there was something going on between them.Disbelief swarmed inside his mind to his soul, asking where he went wrong. Though despite the mixed confused pained emotion, the anger he felt surfaced as it pushed everything else away. He balled his hands into fists, biting his lip until it bled as he stormed his way out of Kathryn's apartment. The sound of the heavy slam of the door should be enough for the two traitors to know he'd seen enough of the truth. The fucking bitter devastating truth.
Zachary gripped hard on his drink, not giving attention to the woman's hand caressing his thigh and her lips licking his neck as his eyes remained on one person alone: Kathryn.Kathryn still wore that small smile on her face as she sat neatly in the far corner of the club, the one their friends decided to use with David's birthday party. Despite the colored smoke, the upbeat wild songs, and people who screamed trouble with the way they dance and make out surrounding them, Kathryn still looked like an innocent sweet being on her seat as she gave out sweet smiles to people she knew who would walk past her table. The table was empty except for a can of Coca-Cola, which Zachary knew was Kathryn's favorite drink. Kathryn never really wanted any type of alcohol as they considered them "unhealthy" like she once had told Zachary. She was the purest, innocent person Zac
Not another minute later when David noticed Kathryn was starting to have a more worried expression on her face. She looked at David seriously and spoke a few words David wasn't really expecting to hear. Though in the end, David could only sigh and look where Kathryn was secretly glancing at."All right. Just give me a minute," David said, determined and clear. The club started getting wilder than he thought, the people on the dance floor doing more lewd things than an ordinary birthday party should have. Well, fuck it. It was his birthday anyway, David thought to himself as he walked towards Zachary's and Earl's table. Earl had just arrived a few minutes ago actually, and so Zachary was left alone with the others who he considered as friends for the past few hours.Women in short dresses flocked around their t
"David! Why did you- ah! I can't do this. I can't! David, please," Kathryn said, knees almost bending down as she pleaded with David.Plead not to meet up with Zachary.David's eyes were still on the side, purposely avoiding Kathryn's as he still felt sorry for what he just dealt with Zachary. With a drunk, childish Zachary."David!." Kathryn almost wailed.Ah, that pout again. The powerful pout not anyone, even the baddest human on the planet, could resist.Chad was taking a sip from his coffee, seemingly oblivious to what was happening with the two youngest in their circle a few feet away from him. David gave Chad a silent stink face at that. How could he be so calm? This
