Forty-Four

When Kathryn woke up in the morning, she noticed Zachary wasn't beside her anymore. Rubbing her eyes, she called out for her husband.

"Zack?"

Then a man popped out from the bathroom, all fresh and clean. "Good morning, baby."

The image immediately brought a smile to Kathryn. Who would've thought her husband would wake up early today? It was indeed a miracle.

A few hours before lunch, Zachary and Kathryn went to the beach side and started to play volleyball. Kathryn wasn't an athletic person but she sure did know how to play this game. Every summer when she was a kid, she would play volleyball on the beach with the other kids from the orphanage. 

Soon, a few people started joining them. Zachary, upon seeing how happy Kathryn was playing, set aside his possessiveness.

"Whew, that was a good game," Kathryn said, panting as they took a break and sat under a hut.

Zachary smiled and nodded, "Yeah. You're good at this, Kath."
