CHAPTER 3

Jonathan's

POV

I stared blankly at the can of beer in my hand while the distant sounds of Tj's and Luke's constant yelling about the video game they were playing, echoed in the background.  I kept thinking back to what had happened at the cafe yesterday afternoon between me and Jake Castillo and his, pretty innocent sister.

Jake and I have been, let's just say, enemies, for a long time now. I hate his guts just as much as he hates mine and every time I see him all I can see is red. But thanks to my mother who taught me the skills on how to mask my emotions very well, I'll say it came pretty handy nowadays.

The Royal siblings. That's what they're known as in the entire world. Their mafia is known as the Royal Mafia and because of that, they're basically royalties that everyone treats them with the amount of respect they think they should deserve. But not to me when it comes to Jake Castillo. He's like an annoying thorn that has been bugging my side, and the reason why we hate each other so much?

Well, some things are just better off not mentioning. But I still remember every small detail of it like it just happened yesterday and not three years ago.

But as for his

sister, she's quite something. For past recent years, I always noticed that she can barely look me in the eye but when she does, it barely last for more then a second. It's either she looks away and blushed or avoid looking at me at all.

But

Tj and Luke's loud conversation snapped me out of my thoughts. Despite the fact that we had turned Tj's basement into our very own hang out spot and plus with the sound proof walls, their conversation was just too loud to bear.

"Nah man, that's so last year. He's dating the brunette chick now, the one that goes to saint Christopher." Tj said and spared me a glance.

"He's an idiot with a poor taste in girls. What does he see in her anyway?" Luke said while I watched on, trying to catch up with what they're talking about.

More like who they're talking about.

" Um hello! Have you seen the chick? She's tall, she's gorgeous, long brown hair, brown eyes and not forgetting that hot body that she was totally showing off in that tight ass uniform. As much as I hate Castillo, I'd love to tap his girl someday."

Oh, so that's

who they're

talking

about.

"Dude." Luke said before they shared a look and then glanced at me.

I raised a brow and placed the half filled beer can on top of the table beside me.

"Madison. I think that's her name." They both looked at me in surprise when I finally spoke up for the first time after the last thirty minutes.

"From what I heard, they were fake dating before they became official. It's just a rumor but we know Castillo right? He can even go that low just to get what he wants." Tj added before giving a low high five to Luke.

Faking dating....

Suddenly, I got an idea.

"What do you guys think about Faye Castillo?" They glanced at each other in confusion.

"What about her? She's his small sister. She can be half annoying then her brother sometimes, especially when people do everything for them just because she's the princess of the royal mafia, but I think she takes advantage of that too."

I frowned and then nod at Luke.

"What about you?" He smirked and fold his arms across his chest.

"Well personally, I think she's pretty hot." I narrowed my eyes at him.

"How come?" He stared back at me as if I just asked him to speak English for the first time.

"Bro, cmon! Don't tell me you were blind all this time?"

"I didn't notice. So enlighten us."

"Well other then the fact that she's the princess of the royal mafia, she's hot, gorgeous, smart and very very friendly. There was this one time, she helped me with a calculus question during class and thanks to her, I know most of the calculus stuff. And remember that party at Betty's place and we didn't go to because we thought it was lame? Well she was one of the few people that went, and someone posted a picture of her on their i*******m story, she was smoking hot man! I'm telling you guys, she may not look the part in school, but wait when she's not

in school. You'll be surprised."

After hearing what Luke just said, the idea that had randomly popped into my head kept nagging at me for me to do it.

"What about you Tj? Any thoughts on Faye Castillo?" He shrugged.

"I'll change my mind when I see her how Luke is describing her right now. Wait, why are you asking about her so suddenly?" I shrugged and then smirked.

"I think....I should ask her out."

"What?!" They both yelled in unison.

"Yeah. It's about time I get to know her." Luke started shaking his head furiously.

"No, absolutely no man, are you kidding me? You're already involved with her brother, and now you wanna "get

to

know

her"? You're just asking for more trouble."

"So? Look, it's not gonna be a serious thing. Do you guys really not know me that well? You know how it is when it comes to girls for me right?" They slowly nod their heads.

"So, why not test out the same game on her? I'm not serious about her or anything, I just wanna-"

"Use her?" Tj cut in.

"Exactly. And that way, I could get her to tell me some things that I don't know about Jake while at the mean time, I could use her to tick him off."

"Oooooh. Damn, you're mean." I chuckled.

"I'll ruin him, then, I'll break her."
