Chapter 14 - The Silence Before the Storm

After the car accident and meeting with Nathaniel, the Fallen Angel, sent from the Underworld by Samael himself on a mission to bring Nadir back, Miguel and her returned home and went to bed almost immediately. Nadir thought all night about what to do. It was safest to just stop resisting and come back, but she didn't want to give up without a fight, so decided she would resist as long as possible. After all, that's what Nadir has been doing for a longer time, isn't it? She resisted Samael's orders and was doing quite well. The easiest way to defeat Samael was to report on him to Lilith, but Nadir couldn't risk that her "mother" would find out what connected her and Miguel, and that Nadir had no intention of returning to the Underworld. Lilith would certainly punish her for such disobedience, though perhaps less severely than Samael. For Miguel, however, the result would be the same - he would be killed by both Samael and Lilith.
