Uncertain Destinations

The damage was nothing small. Not what would take a week or couple of months to fix. Tresicta had destroyed everything and it wasn’t an overstatement. Communication was still down, so was the electricity and the flow of water. That had to be taken care of first before the structures could come back. 

And they were needed for the sick, the injured, the dead and the prisoners. But for now they would make do with what they had.

Danny smiled at the official who let her into the makeshift medical unit. 

She smiled when she saw that familiar mischievous blonde.

She sat across her, the table their only barrier. 

“You had to be there” Danny began. 

“I know. I’ve heard stories. You’re a hero and you’ve barely been here”.

“Why are you still in here anyway?”

“They want to make sure that I still don’t have evil in me, and there’s also trauma they claim I have, and also people still need to accept that I wasn’t the one that did all that”.
