"I am telling you, being in a relationship is better than just playing girls." Derek said.
It was the same argument with him everytime. And right now it started because I was checking out the new girl that started at my gym. I made him a bet that I would have her in my bed before the week ends.
"Nope. Why should I stick to just one girl when I have plenty of girls that want me? In a way I am only being fair." I said.
"How is what your doing fair?" He asked with confusion.
"If I stay with just one girl, I am depriving other girls of me so I have to be fair by being with all of them."
Derek just looked at me and rolled his eyes. "You're a sick man."
"Hey, I'm a sick sexy man. You always forget the sexy."
"I don't forget it." He said with a smirk.
I smacked him on the arm and turned my attention back to the lady who I saw yesterday who was now running on the thread mill.
She caught me staring at her and gave a little smile. Then I knew I had her. Girls always smile at me when they want me.
I smirked back at her but instead of approaching me, she just looked away. She was literally the first girl to not get attracted to my smirk. Maybe she was one of those girls who played 'hard-to-get'
"Stop staring at her dude. You are freaking her out." Derek said.
I just rolled my eyes. "I'll go talk to her right now. I am sure I'll get a date."
"Okay then." He answered sarcastically.
"Just wait and see." I said and walked up to her with plenty confidence.
"Hi. I am Tony Caraballo. Owner of the gym. But you can call me Ballo." I said smoothly, a grin on my face.
"I am Camilla Rúiz." She replied with a small smile. She had a really thick latina accent.
"Nice to meet you, Camilla. So I was wondering if I can get your number and call you sometime."
She dropped the dumbbells she was using and moved closer to me.
"Oh, honey. It's gonna take a whole lot more than that for you to get my number." She said. The statement hit me like a huge blow. I have never, never been rejected before!
"Playing hard to get, huh?" I said with a smirk on my face.
"No, I am not just an easy woman. Like the ones who are staring at you right now." She said pointing to women who were in fact staring at me. I smirked cooly at them and turned back to face her.
"Well at least let me take you to—" she held up her hand to silence me.
"If you don't mind, I'd like to get back to my work out."
I walked away with my pride all battered and bruised. I have never in my life been rejected by any girl in my entire.
When I got to where Derek was standing, he was laughing his head off!
"For the first time ever, little Ballo's charm didn't work." He said and kept laughing whilst I was getting fucking pissed.
"You have problems man. Besides, she didn't reject me. She's just playing hard to get. She'll come around, they always do."
"Dude, she gave you the 'don't talk to me hand'."
"The what?"
"Welcome to the world of rejection. You'll get use to it." He said still laughing.
I pushed him hard and walked past him to my office. I was really pissed and I needed a bottle of Jack Daniels to calm me down.
How the fuck do I, Tony Caraballo get rejected like it just doesn't happen.
I looked out the window and saw her walking away to her car. She was most definitely going to pay for this.
I will make her fall in love with me, get her in my bed and break her heart! Nobody, rejects Ballo and gets away with it.
"Dude, chill out. You're hyperventilating again." Derek said.
"I'll mess her up, you'll see." I said through gritted teeth and stormed out.
Derek's POV
As I watched Ballo walk out of the gym, I sighed knowing a storm was coming. Ballo had really bad anger issues and it was worst when his big ego was bruised.
He'd gotten into a lot of trouble because of his temper and he's been to three different court ordered anger management classes. It all started when his parents died, he's just been a very angry boy. And we've both seen a lot of shit in this life but we stuck together.
Which was why I didn't like to see him this way, worst when he said he'd ruin Camilla. I knew he'd do it. A storm was coming and I knew I would be in the middle of it.
Oh, brother.

Truth is, a couple years back if he'd approached me, I would have fallen at his feet but not right now.Plus he was a player, he was really popular for using and dumping women in the worst way possible.Just as I was entering the gym, I number into Tony. He gritted me with a wide grin that showed his perfect white teeth. There was no denying that he was a really good look
Sometimes I wish I could break my alarm in the morning. I woke up with a terrible headache. I told myself I would never go clubbing on a work day but anger had driven me straight to the bar. I had to sober up before going to work because if Derek found out that I had been drinking because I was angry, he would freak. He was only a couple of months older than me but he treats me like his child. I rolled out of bed and when I was standing up straight, I felt as though someone had dropped a huge stone on my head. I dragged my feet to the bathroom where my medicine cabinet was. I took an Ibuprofen from it and waited for it to work in my system. Ten minutes later after the headache had lessened, I was about to take my bath when my phone started to ring. No surprise that is was Derek. "Hey baby." I said after I answered the call. He made a gag no
It was one of those days when I woke up with that hollow feeling in my chest. When I had the same dream that turned into a nightmare when I woke up.It would always start with me coming from school and seeing my mom standing in front of the door. I'd grin widely and rush to her. She'd pick me up in her arms and kiss my cheek."How is my little prince doing?" She'd ask."I'm fine mommy."Then we'd go back into the house. She'd help me with my homework. Feed me cookies and milk, then in a couple of hours, my dad would be home. With always a new coloring book for me or a new ball or something.I'd play with it for some time and then be sent off to my room to get ready for bed. After I am done getting ready for bed, my mom or dad or both of them would come into my room, read me a bedtime story and tuck me in. Then I'd fall asleep in the dream and wake up in real life,
It was another boring day of work, work, work. Derek had decided to keep me busy so I wouldn't even have the time to go to a club or even thinking of having a drink.Yes, in the past I might have had some issues with alcohol but I was totally fine now and Derek needed to understand that.I was in bed all huddled in my duvet and ready for bed when a phone call came in, interrupting my peace. This is why you should always put your phone on airplane mode in the night.I looked at the caller ID to see that it was Brian again. I grinded my teeth in frustration. Of all the fucked up people in this world to call me, it had to be the fu****."What do you want?" I asked with anger in my voice. I had zero tolerance for the bag of shit."Chill, would you? You don't want to end up in another court ordered anger management class again, do you?" He asked with mischief. I could tell by the sound of his v
I never thought in my whole life that any woman can look so good in just jeans and a hoodie but Camilla pulled it off perfectly. After we finish getting ready we went outside to of Camilla’s house. We were going to my house so I could shower and get ready. But when Camilla saw my bike, she freaked!“There’s no way in hell I am getting on that thing.” She pointed at my bike like it was bile.“Shhh. She’ll hear you.” I said and patted my bike softly as though the bike could really be hurt by her words.Camilla rolled her eyes, “I don’t are about how my words affect your bike. I am not getting on that bike.”“Fine. Then how do you propose we get to my house then?” I asked with a snort.“I’ll take my car and follow you behind on your bike.&rdquo
I walked up the hill, the bright afternoon sun hitting me hard, sweat dripping down my back and my chest. I was soaked. But I couldn’t stop, I never stopped till I got to the top.It was just a few more kilometers to the top so I dragged myself up. I liked the feeling of the sun burning on my back. I was so glad that I had put on some sun block and I was wearing a tank top and shorts, I would have had a heat stroke and the worst case of sun burn.Twenty minutes later, I had finally reached the top.I sat on a rock and took a big gulp of water from my water bottle. The water was cold and I felt it flow through me.I was hiked every time I had something on my mind. It helped me clear the cob webs from my head.I had just had another of my realistic dreams about my parents that I fucking hate. Every time I had that dream, it made me feel angry and
Camilla's POVI was at the hospital with Derek the doctors said he would be discharged in three days but he would need to be on bed rest for a month.I had been in the hospital for over an hour and I hadn't seen Tony. I don't even know why I wanted to see him I just did. Not like I came to the hospital to see him because that's not it. I was friends with Derek and I did care about him. But it was still weird that Tony wasn't here."Where is Tony?" I asked Derek."I really don't know. I haven't seen him since yesterday. I'm a bit worried though. Knowing that guy he is probably up to something stupid or he's in a Ballo trance again." Derek said. She gave him a questioning look. "A Ballo trance?" she questioned."Yeah. I probably shouldn't be telling you this but when our parents died, Ballo didn't really handle it as well as I did.
Four years ago...Ballo's POVDerek and I were about ready to graduate from High school. We were living with an African-American couple who adopted us because they didn't have any children. But they were mean set of people.Mr and Mrs Sheldon were the meanest set of people ever. They had adopted Derek and I for the purpose of turning us into their slaves. And Mr. Sheldon beat the crap out of us.So after Derek and I had graduated from High School, we left their house. We weren't fully eighteen yet so we had to escape. That's how we went from living in Chicago, Illinois to living in Los Angeles, California.Taking care of both Derek and myself was hard and I needed money to take care of both myself and Derek.Understand though, that I couldn't let Derek work. I felt like I was his guardian even though we were
