“What are you doing here?” Myra asked, her tone all confrontational.

“Err, looking for you.” Cole replied like it was the dumbest question ever which Myra should know because mates are rarely separated during the first few weeks since their mating and it applied to all races.

“Shouldn’t you be still sleeping?” Myra asked, swallowing air loudly when Cole walked to her, the same way he did when she was ranting. Like he was on a hunt and she was his prey.

“You only wore me out because that’s my first time, don’t count on it again.” He growled leaning into her space while Myra seemed to watch him transfixed.

“I would have never suspected that The Were king was a virgin.” Vince whispered loudly just to rib Cole who stared at his vampire counterpart out of the corner of his eyes.

“First time with a Succubus, don’t act like my words mean anything else besides why are you having some inane pleasure from this, what are you? Twelve?” Cole asked Vince who shrugged.

“It is annoying you so I am going to continue doing it, after all if you can invade my space then I would disrupt yours.”

“Great, power plays.” Gwen groaned then addressed Myra. “When they get like this the best thing for you to do is leave them be. They would eventually have to fight it out and then they would call a draw and we get to nurse them and act like their pride did not cause their injuries.”

Myra teleported away from Cole to behind the counter. “Why am I being involved in this?”

Cole turned to look at his mate, she was reluctant for some reason but it was starting to sound like rejection.

“And why wouldn’t you?” Cole asked, standing upright and folding his arms while he stared at her.

“Surely, there must be a m…” Myra started only for her words to trail off when she realized she was indirectly issuing another challenge. “I mean, all the succubus couples I have ever came across had just incubus mates. It is impossible for my kind to be mated to another. Maybe this is somehow an insane attraction.”

“That is the biggest lie I have ever heard.” Vince frowned and Myra turned to look at him in shock.

“I think I know my people more than you do.”

“Call your mother and inform her.” Jessica suggested as she handed a phone to Myra, Myra frowned looking at all their faces as if they were dumb to think she would make the call. When she settled on her mate face who looked like he was going make the call if she didn’t and that would be harder to explain to her mother so she dialed her mother’s number and made the call.

“Hello?” The voice was tentative.

“Mom?” Myra started and her mother launched into an angry tirade.

“Myrabelle must you always do something to make me worried, what were you doing among humans first of all when you were supposed to be in the Vampire settlement and then you were attacked well, I don’t know much about that but seeing that you are my daughter and you called me then I am assuming that that motherfucker is dead.”

“Wait mom, slow down. How did you know that I was attacked?” Myra asked confused.

“Same way that I know everything I do about your activities, certainly not from you?” Her mother replied.

“Mother.” Myra fumes. “Did you put a tracker on me?”

“And listen to all your sexcapades no thank you. I have more inventive means, ones I will show you when you start having children of your own.” My mother said and Myra knew that was as much as her mother was going to reveal on the situation. “Well, you certainly killed the son of a bitch right?”

“Mom, I found my mate.” Myra confessed as her mother screamed loudly into her ear. She was not the only one ho wince at the high pitch sound, apparently, everybody was listening in. no matter if it was a private conversation.

“That’s good news Honey, who are his family so that I can go and welcome them here, or are they are some other colony.”

“He is not Ubbis mom.” Myra said as she braced herself for her mother’s response. The silence was deafening.

“I should have prepared you for this.” Her mother started. “I am so sorry dear, I hope you did not eject him in confusion.”

“Mom, I am mated to a werewolf.” Myra started but her mother cuts her short.

“Good choice then, at least, you would never be hungry.”

Myra cheeks went red when she stole a look at Cole who seem to have replaced the look on his face like he would love nothing more than to feed her right then and there. “Not that, how is he my mate when he is not Ubbis, what’s going on?”

“Well, in Ubbis, when someone mates with a person that is not one of us, he or she is cast out. With enough money to raise his child outside though. The Ubbis race is the way it is because we only allow full blood in and there is a high percentage of half-blood child of the Ubbis getting a mate outside of the Ubbis race, that is another reason for cast outs. The majority that usually happens is with the humans and the children born when they are turned or some distant generation from them is turned, they become more enchanting than normal vampires that led to the formation of the vampire enchanting type but some still manage to mate with Ubbis.” Myra listened as her mother voice lost the playful edge it had since she asked about how her mom knew her movements. “I was hoping that it was the category that you would fall under.”

“What?” Myra breathed out. Her world was spinning. There was a lot more going on that she did not know about.

“Your father was not an incubus. My family had the crown for a very long time so my blood is still stronger than most if not all Ubbis pure blood family. That was why I was not banished and you were welcomed into the fold as princess. We thought, you would mate an Incubus and that you would not have to be expelled by the Ubbis race.”

“Wait, Mother, what are you trying to say?” Myra collapsed on a chair, realizing what was about to happen.

“I am so sorry honey.” Her mother’s voice turned shaky. “The crown would have to go to Stan daughter and you would be given something to start a life with outside.”

“Mother…” Myra started, shaking her head even as tears gather. “This is a prank right, I am sorry for making you worry about me. I won’t do it again.”

“I would try and come visit, you just need to send me your location and the Were who is your mate...” Her mother cries became louder. “Goodbye Myra.”

Myra heard the phone cut but she still left the phone on her ear as she sat froze with tears running down her face.

“We are going to give you some space.” Jessica said silently as she teleported out of the room with Gwen and Vince in toll.

“Myra.” Cole called softly, never would he have expected that the call would go the way it did. He approached his mate slowly, like she was a snake poise to strike at any time. When he touched her shoulder, she turned to him and buried her head in his chest while her cries became louder.

She had a mate which every supernatural dreamt of but she lost her family in the process.
