HOMECOMING
Marie’s dad was coming to pick her up from school. She was fondly anticipating meeting her dad and was hoping that he would come alone. Eager to meet her step-mom as well, but the hope of being alone with her dad at least for some time was a dream for her every time she went home.
Her step-mom had issues with Marie being alone with her own dad. The possibility may have been that she was guilty of the way she treated Marie and didn’t want to land up in trouble had Marie spoken to her father about all that. Little did she know that Marie was such a good daughter that she controlled herself every time from letting her dad know what happened at home with her only because she believed that her father loved her step-mother.

The next day in the morning as soon as the sun rays fell on Marie’s face, it seemed like a very bright morning to her as she opened her eyes to welcome a new day of her life at home with the hope that it was going to be a better day. Jean’s reply to her message really made her very excited, and both of them started chatting with each other by sending one message after the other person replied, and that was happening in a jiffy because both of them were sitting with their phones in their hands.Marie: “I have been at home only. The next morning also Marie woke up early without an alarm. Maybe someone said it right, there is nothing that you cannot achieve if you truly want it and have your mind fixed on it. That was the reason that Marie did not need an alarm to wake up early only because she had plans of meeting Jean and despite the fact that she was not a morning person.In school and in the hostel everything was fine, but even if she woke up in the morning to have breakfast on the weekends, she would still get in bed soon after and stay lazy for the whole time. Summer holidays started getting better for Marie as she began feeling all grown up and being able to meet Jean without her parents coming to know about it. The driver parked the car right in front of the main staircase that headed to the hall where the party had to happen, and the girls quickly hopped off the car very excitedly.
