"No." Hazel fearfully shook her head, looking at Theodore with horrified eyes.
"I will not m-marry you." She sniffled, wrapping her hands around her shoulders, feeling defenseless and expose under his eyes.
"It's cute that you think you have a choice." Theodore said, without looking at her as he began to collect his things from the table. His voice gave no hint of what he was thinking.
