STELLA The next few weeks go by with no problems. Axel had sent Benjamin out of the territory on some business for the pack. I continued to go to college, however; I started wearing the skirts Axel asked me to wear with some new blouses. I was still a little self-conscious of Axel’s mark and how everyone reacted whenever they saw it, so I always made sure that for now, my blouse covered it. After I say goodbye to Sophie, I head back to the packhouse as Axel and I have now been mated for a month. He wants to take me out for dinner and dancing like on our first date. AXEL These last few weeks with Stella have been amazing. I still have yet to speak properly to Benjamin about Stella being my mate and therefore not a slave or property to be shared. AXEL I know the moment Stella is back, so once Nora runs out of my office, down the stairs and out of the packhouse I make my way to our room wanting to fix what Nora just did and take her out on our date however Stella is not in our room. I look around and notice that the closet light is on. I enter, look around again, and notice that a few of Stella’s dresses, skirts, and blouses are missing. I smile to myself as I see that all her jeans are still here. So even though she is mad at me, she is still doing what I asked; I close my eyes and feel for our mate bond and smile again at the fact that she is still on the floor. AXEL Just over a week after Benjamin’s attack on Stella, the gashes were almost completely healed, and I had no choice but to allow her to return to her classes. So as she headed to the college, I headed to my office with one thing on my mind. I had been thinking about it all week and believed that I had come up with the right punishment. Once behind my desk, I open my mind-link. “Hannah, my office now!” I then sit back and wait. Once she enters, I don’t give her a chance to sit down as I growl. “I want the whipping poles placed in the town centre!” I don’t miss her surprise as she says, “But Alpha, we haven’t had a whipping of a pack member for over 300 years!” “Did I stutter Hannah?” “No Alpha! But....” Getting a little annoyed, I threaten her just a little as I say, “Hannah, if the whipping poles are not set up by noon tomorrow ready for Benjamin’s punishment tomorrow afternoon, then you will be joining him strapped to them! AXEL >Flashback cont... As dusk approaches, I walk around in front of the female and take a look at her. It is strange as I normally know everyone that has been in my pack or I have been with, but I can never remember who this female is. STELLA I can't believe what Axel did to Benjamin but I am now in his world and they do more things the old way, I can't look Benjamin in the eyes whenever he is around as every time he takes his shirt off I am reminded that the scars that now crisscross his back were there because of me. Other than my friendship with Benjamin, everything has returned to normal. Axel surprised and scared me that day. That he could do such a thing to a friend. However, even Benjamin keeps telling me that he deserved it and Axel had every right to do what he did and more. Watching Axel with the pack is something I love doing, but it is so strange that the male I'm with in private is totally different to the male that stands and plays with his pack, then he’s different again if there are visitors or intruders. STELLA He turns, so he is slightly standing and kneeling on the bed at the same time. He reaches over and grabs for my ankle, but I manage to move it out of the way and kick him in the jaw. Knocking him to the side and allowing me to scramble off the bed. I run over to the door and even though my hands are still bound; I manage to wrap my hands around the handle. I take a surprised, relieved breath in when it opens. However, that relief doesn’t last long, because when I open the door more it is then suddenly forced closed and I can feel him pressed up against my back. A shiver goes through me as he growls low and grabs my upper arms, pulling me from against the door. He turns me and throws me back toward and onto the bed.
