Chapter 24
Two days passed and all Iris did was to wake up finish her morning routine take a shower and went back to sleep after taking medicine. Since Leonard and they shared that complicated encounter, she hadn't seen him coming to her room anymore. Her back healed and the pain subdued. Few faint scars were there along with that the marking of the knife stab. But the pain left and so did the other wounds. Still, the horrible memories were fresh in her mind. Now and then she was looking around her to confirm Leonard's absence. His presence always brought terror and pain to her. These days she didn't need to leave the room to show up as Leonard's maid. When Iris slowly fluttered her eyes open, she felt someone had kept boulders on her eyelids. There was so much drowsiness and heaviness that she felt to go back to her previous peaceful previous slumber. She didn't want to just keep on staring awkwardly at the ceiling.
